CHAPTER SEVEN
A New Plan
Aiden's POV
I stared at her as rage pulsed through my veins, how could a woman be so violent?.
She basically broke my arm just to stop me from entering into my own office, she is no different from my step brothers, and I see no reason why I will keep someone like her with me, she was already a problem.
"But I just wanted..."
"Not a single word from you woman," I cut in, "Just get the hell out of here, how could a woman be so violent," I said with disgust, I was so disgusted with her violent attitude, there was no way I was going to keep someone like her as my secretary, "You really irritate me," I added and picked up the broken parts of his laptop, I had important informations and folders on my laptop, but the violent old woman had already broken it.
It was a relief that I could still get back my folders and files from the hard disk, it would have been another case as I would have made her pay for doing that.
I stared at her again and groaned as I headed towards my office.
I pushed the door open and walked in, I dropped the broken parts of the laptop on the table and took a seat on the three seater cushion chair which was at the right side of my office.
I rested my head and shut my eyes, my arm still hurts from what happened earlier, I twisted it as I tried to stretch it out, but it was like none of it was working as the pain persisted.
I was already having a bad day, one which started with my brothers normal behavior towards me, my brothers were always a pain in the neck, but that had never stopped the love I had for them.
Sometimes I would want to give back what they give to me, I would want to give back the same hatred they give to me, but I just couldn't, I couldn't do that to them.
I had loved them with all my heart right from the moment I was brought into their house, they were so cool and they were the perfect big brothers, until some weeks later.
I could remember them torturing me and maltreating me for nothing specific. I was hurt, I had pleaded several times that they stop doing that to me.
I was confused at their behavior at first, I was confused because they were so perfect and they showed me love when I first came into the house, but everything changed in a blink.
My day had begun with such a bad moment, and then the old and violent woman who claimed to be my secretary, she broke my arm and still wanted me to hire her.
I was already having a really bad day, I hissed and stood up from the chair as I headed towards my main seat.
As I took a step, I remembered what happened at dawn, me getting the same call I had been getting for some days, the same threat call that was becoming too much.
I shook my head to shake away the thought, I knew it would make my day worse if I keep thinking about it.
There was someone hiding behind those calls, a coward or something, someone who just want to scare me, he keeps calling everyday with the same warning and threats.
I really disklike the police meddling in my business, I hate them taking care of my stuffs and problems, and so I didn't want to report the calls to them, I didn't want to be involved with them.
I got to my table and sighed as I took my seat on the turnable chair, I placed my hand on my forehead as I felt it aching me so bad.
I sighed again before looking on my table, and I could see a brown envelope, it seemed like a package was inside.
I looked around as I was confused as to how that got there, I could remember locking up my office before going home the day before, and it was being locked with my fingerprint.
I could still remember that there was nothing like the brown envelope on the table before I left the day before, I didn't know how it got there, and who brought it there.
I stood up from my chair and stared at the envelope, one part of me was so hasty to see what was inside the envelope, and another part of me was scared as I didn't know what might be inside the envelope.
What if it is a letter bomb?, my whole body shook as I thought about that, I moved away from the table again. Yeah, I'm a coward, I was sacred of anything going wrong, I had to be careful.
I stood still and sighed as I stared at the envelope, I just couldn't keep staring and not do anything about it, moreover, no one cares if anything goes wrong with me.
Even if the envelope contained a letter bomb, no one would be affected, even my brothers and step mom would be happy that I'm finally away from their lives.
I chuckled, I had nothing to lose, and no one had anything to lose my losing me, I picked up the envelope and tore it open. I sighed as I saw that it was just a letter, and not a letter bomb like I had thought.
I opened the letter and read to myself, my whole body trembled in the fear of what would happen next, my hand shook with the paper in the, "Tell the world who you really are, you have just few days or you will regret not doing that," I read to myself again.
The note was just the same as the calls I had been getting, I had to watch my back, I had to be vigilant.
The fact that the one who dropped the letter was able to enter into my office was confusing, I could only open it with my fingerprint, I couldn't understand how someone else got in.
It was getting dangerous than I had imagined, what to do?, that was the question that kept ringing through my head, but I couldn't really get an answer to it.
I was so scared and perplexed, the person was able to get into my office with my fingerprint, that shows that the person was close to me, I had to be so careful.
I dropped the letter and an idea swept through my head immediately. The old woman who claimed to be my secretary.
I could just hire her and make her follow me around, since she was good with judo or maybe karate with what she did to me earlier, she could fight against anyone who tries to attack me.
I walked to my door and pushed it open, I saw her walking towards the elevator.
I stood still and thought to myself as I gave my plan a second thought, and it sounded like a good idea to me.
What was her name again?, I cranked my eyes as I tried to recollect, "Wait up Cheryl," I called as she was about to go into the elevator, "You have been appointed," I added and she turned back to me with her eyes widened, "As my secretary," I went on.
