Prologue/Chapter 1
It is unheard of to be a direct descendant of the Moon Goddess. The last person who was a direct descendant lived over 500 years ago. So no one expected the daughter of an unknown Alpha to claim to be one of the descendants. Violet Adams had little hope of proving she was one of the direct descendants until she was face to face with her mates.
Chapter 1
"Get your ass up! We have company coming for your brother's first shift," I hear my father yell as he bangs on the Attic door. I groan as I roll out of bed and walk to my makeshift bathroom. I pull my blonde hair into a high ponytail and splash water on my face. "Let's go get this over with," I say to Lexa, my wolf. "Just think, tomorrow we turn 18, we will be free of this place and be able to find our mate. We will make it through Henry's first shift tonight; then we can leave."
When I arrived downstairs, I went to the kitchen to start my daily chores. I was halfway to the cleaning supply closet when a big, rough-looking woman stepped in my way. I looked up, "What can I do for you?" I asked with a smirk on my face. The woman gasped, "How dare you talk to your superior like that?!" She yelled as I felt her hand connect with my face. "Did she just slap us?" I heard Lexa ask. "Yes, she did, but that doesn't matter. Remember, we are leaving tomorrow," I quickly reminded her, before turning my attention to the head omega.
I looked her dead in the eye, "If we didn't have company coming, I would challenge you for your position. Now, I will take the orders the Alpha gave me. I will get to work," I said in response to her slapping me. I step around her to gather the supplies I need and leave the kitchen. I head upstairs to start my chores so I can finish early enough to sneak into the omega bathroom to shower, before they get here. I had just about finished in my father's room when I saw my brother and his b***h of a girlfriend, Rose, come out of his room. "Oh Henry, look, it's your slut of a sister," Rose spat. "Let's go, I don't want to deal with her s**t," Henry said, grabbing Rose roughly by the arm to pull her down stairs. Henry paused a few feet from the steps, "Oh, Violet, our father better not hear about this." "Like he would listen to me," I muttered loud enough that he could hear me. Henry smirks, "Yea, I know," he says as he walks down the stairs.
I was just finishing up when my Father and his Beta came up the stairs, "Did you go into my office?" He asked me. "No Sir," I grit out, knowing I'm about to be blamed for something that has gone missing yet again. " I don't think I believe her do you Benjamin?" Larry asks. "No, I don't, because I specifically remember asking the head omega to tell her to clean my office," He responds as he looks to his beta. "I haven't been in your office," I inform my father with my head down in submission. "Maybe we won't get punished because we have guest showing up soon," I heard my wolf say as I hit my head on the floor. "Alpha, sir, Violet was in your office, I personally watched her come out." I heard Rose's voice as i open my eyes and see all three of them standing over me with nasty grins. "Sounds like I get to punish you for more than what I thought," I heard him laugh right before feeling a sharp pain in the ribs and the back of my head causing me to blackout.
When I came to, all I could see was darkness. Lexa pushes slightly forward to allow me to use her sight. I looked around, I had been taken up to my room. I look at the clock on my nightstand to see that it's five minutes to midnight. "Welp, I guess we should go take a shower so we can atleast be clean for our birthday," Lexa says as I try to roll out of bed, "Damn, they must have beaten the s**t out of me." "I'm trying to heal you, but they hurt you pretty bad. I think they found out we were planning on leaving." "That would explain the false accusation," I said as I headed down the stairs to the omega stairs. I was about half-way down the stairs when I ran into what felt like a giant broad wall.
