Blurb

In a dystopian world where technology has advanced beyond human control, sixteen-year-old Ava is one of the few remaining humans who has not been implanted with a microchip. Instead, she possesses an extraordinary ability to communicate with animals and nature, making her an outcast among the tightly controlled society. When a catastrophic event shakes the foundation of the world, Ava finds herself on the run, pursued by both the government and a group of rebels who believe she holds the key to saving humanity. Along the way, she discovers a small band of humans who have also evaded the microchip, and together they set out on a perilous journey to find the last known place where technology cannot reach them. As they navigate through a dangerous landscape filled with robotic creatures and harsh weather conditions, Ava must learn to harness her powers and trust in her instincts. Along the way, she develops feelings for a fellow human, but their budding romance is threatened by the increasing danger and the secrets they each carry. When they finally reach their destination, they discover a shocking truth that will challenge everything they know about their world and themselves. As they race against time to save humanity, Ava must decide whether to embrace her destiny and sacrifice everything for the greater good or continue to run and risk losing everything she loves. In a heart-pounding finale, Ava and her friends must battle against the forces of technology and fight for a world where humans and nature can coexist in harmony once again.

The Outcast
Ava sat alone on a bench, watching the world around her. Everywhere she looked, people were talking on their microchips, swiping screens, and scrolling through endless streams of information. It was a world she could never fully be a part of. Ava was one of the few remaining humans who had not been implanted with a microchip. Instead, she possessed an extraordinary ability to communicate with animals and nature, making her an outcast in a tightly controlled society. As she sat there, a group of teenagers walked by, laughing and talking with their microchips. They looked at Ava with a mixture of curiosity and disdain. "Hey, freak," one of them sneered. "Why don't you just get with the program and get a chip like everyone else?" Ava didn't respond. She knew better than to engage with people who didn't understand her. She had learned to keep her abilities a secret, fearing that if the government found out, they would either implant her with a chip or, worse, use her powers for their own gain. Ava's only solace was in her connection with nature. She spent hours in the woods, talking to animals, and feeling the rhythms of the natural world. But even there, she knew she was not truly safe. The government had drones that patrolled the woods, scanning for any signs of human activity. As the sun began to set, Ava made her way back home, a small apartment on the outskirts of the city. She knew she had to be careful not to draw attention to herself. As she entered her apartment, she felt a sense of relief wash over her. Here, she could be herself, away from the judging eyes of society. But as she settled in for the night, Ava knew that her life was about to change forever. Little did she know that a catastrophic event was about to shake the foundation of the world and force her to flee for her life.
