Narrator’s POV—
Samantha could hear only the sound of heavy breathing on the call but soon Chris’s voice could be heard. It was clearly shaky and hesitant.
“Chris? W-Where are you? I have been waiting for you here!” Samantha asked pretending to not know about his whereabouts.
“Umm..Listen sweetheart, I am sorry, but I cannot come back yet! I…I actually got stuck up at the hospital.” Chris squint his eyes as he felt miserable to lie to Samantha!
