Chapter One Hundred and Three: Tracking
Jadea That first night was probably the hardest. Since rescuing Adam from Harley’s clutches, we hadn’t been apart. My nerves were a mess with this separation. I hated how I was feeling so clingy and worried, but I just couldn’t stop it. After Adam left mid afternoon, I made sure to busy myself with my assigned chores. I threw myself into the paperwork and even went and spoke to Jillian, the stable manager and the landlord to see if there were any major appliances, equipment or major repairs they needed. The ranch had a little bit of extra money that we could spend in improvements before the winter came. Once that was finished I picked up the littles from Nonna’s.
