(Layla’ s POV) “ Boss, we caught him.” A man reported to me. “ Okay, lead the way.” I replied. He lead the way to the underground parking lot in my company . After getting in the car, he drove off to a quiet place in the forest. Taking out my iPad, I entered a passcode and did biometric verification. Not long after, the forest floor shifted and we were moved underground before closing up back. When we got to the underground dungeon, I went to the changing room and donned a pair of black pants and black top. I put on a black hijab and mask also before going to the special room where new people caught going against me are kept to be tortured. When I got in, I met a sedated man thrown on the floor like a rag doll. This was the bastard trying to rat me out to my rival. The audacity! “Wake him up!” I commanded. A bucket of ice cold water was thrown on him , after which he woke up, shivering. He looked around him before his gaze finally settled on me. There it was! Fear, of me!. “Where am I? b***h! What did you do to me?” He asked, shouting and quivering with fear. “ Hmm, I like that. Make him shout louder and struggle harder.” I ordered. Not long after, the man’s shout of agony rang through the room. I sat watching the man being tortured with relish, a malicious look in my eyes. ‘ Seriously, why don’t they just follow my rules? Do they love pain so much? Or were they instigated by someone? The answer to these questions is what I have to find out. I stood up from where I was sitting and stalked towards the man. “ Don’t come any closer than you already are, please.” The man cried out, quavering with fear. I smirked before moving towards him more. I squatted in front of him, smirking before I started the questioning. “ Hello i***t”. No reply. I pressed hard on the wound on his hand with the butt of my gun. “ Wrong answer,honey.” I drawled, hitting him on the nose with my gun. “ Hello!” No reply again. Interesting! “ Stubborn, are we?” He glared at me. Disrespectful bastard. I hate that. I stabbed his thigh with a dagger. He shouted out once again. I grabbed his chin hard, which made him wince in pain. “ Listen, you give me a reply when I ask you a question, understood? Else…” I said , twirling the dagger in my hand. “ Good boy! Now, who do you work for?” “ No one.” He replied. “ Wrong answer, again !” “ Please believe me, no one.” “ I gave you a chance, but, see how you used it. Tsk.…tsk…tsk…” I tutted. I stood up, ready to leave, before telling my men, “ He has a pregnant wife and aged parent. They are very dear to him, just like the informations he stole from me is dear to me. Invite them over. You guys know what to do .” Before I could step out of the room, he shouted desperately, “ Would you please spare us if I tell you who I work for? I promise to be honest!” I smirked before turning around, it worked always. “ Are you in any position to negotiate with me? Hmm?” I asked. “ You want the information, and I want myself and my family safe. It’s a good deal?” He said, unsure of himself. “ Honey, you don’t know the position you currently are, right? I have your family, and can still get the information I want even when you’re dead. So, think it through.” “ Please, I was wrong. But, my family …?” “ Okay, but if you make the mistake of saying the wrong things, I guess I will have to go back on my word.” I conceded. “ You can start talking now.” I ordered. “It’s Marcelo. He wanted to know who you are, because no one, even your men, apart from your trusted men, knows who the don of the Dark Knight mafia is. Since it is the most powerful mafia gang, so, a lot of other groups are trying to get information to bring it down. And I am not the only spy sent to get information about you.” He spilled it out. “ Really? What information are you supposed to submit to Marcelo about me?” I questioned him. “ Your pictures, information about your family and daily life.” He said. “ So, did you get it?” “ Only your pictures and nothing else. I swear!” I faced my right hand man , nodding at him. He passed me the envelope containing my pictures. I spilled everything on the table next to me to check out the pictures. Wow, though I was wearing my signature mask in all the pictures taken, it all looks really good and professional. “ You take good pictures, honey. It’s a pity you went against me.” I said. “ Hope you won’t go against your word to let my family go, I swear, all the information I gave to you is correct.” He asked desperately. “ Don’t worry mi amore, I do not ever go back on my word.” I said smiling. “Thank you.” He said relieved. “Not so fast, honey.” I replied, smirking. “ Huh?” “ Hmm.” “But you promised me!” He shouted. “ Do not raise your voice at me, bastard. Letting go means different things to me, so, I will not disturb your family. But you, you can choose to be tortured to death or work for me all your life which is the same as letting you off punishment, so, choose wisely! You can pass your decision to me through my men. Adios!” I went out of the room immediately. When I got out of the room, I went back to the changing room and wore the clothes I wore before, a cream and wine colored gradient suit pants and wine hijab with cream colored open toes stilettos and hand bag. After getting changed, I went out to my car to leave the place. It’s time to go back home. Man I am so tired and famished. ‘ Home, here I come.’ I mumbled to myself.
