The Eternal Lovers – Epilogue: A Love Beyond Time The days turned to years. The years turned to decades. And Aarav and Saanvi lived. They built a life in a quiet village by the sea, where the waves whispered secrets only they could understand. They grew old together, waking each morning with the warmth of sunlight and the certainty of love. They never spoke of their past lives to others. It was a secret just for them. A love story no history book could ever tell. But as the years passed, a truth became undeniable. Their mortal bodies were aging. And one day, one of them would have to say goodbye. --- The Last Sunset Saanvi sat on the porch, wrapped in a shawl, watching the setting sun paint the ocean in gold. She felt weaker these days. The passing years had worn her down, but she did not fear the end. Aarav sat beside her, his hands weathered but strong. He laced his fingers through hers, his touch still familiar despite the passing of time. "You remember what I said all those years ago?" he asked softly. Saanvi smiled, her voice barely above a whisper. "That you’d never stop falling in love with me?" Aarav chuckled, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "And I was right." She closed her eyes, leaning into him. "I wish we had more time." Aarav held her closer. "We’ve had more time than anyone in history, Saanvi. And still, it’s never enough." Silence settled between them, warm and comfortable. Then—a shift in the air. A familiar presence. A voice they hadn’t heard in decades. "You have lived well." Aarav and Saanvi turned their heads. Standing at the edge of the garden was the Guardian of Fate. But he was not as they remembered him. His form was softer now, his eyes full of something that almost resembled kindness. "You were the first to break the cycle," the Guardian said. "And yet, your souls are bound beyond this life. That is why I have come." Aarav’s grip on Saanvi’s hand tightened. "Why are you here?" The Guardian took a step forward, his robes shifting like shadows. "To offer you one final choice." "Would you like to walk through one last door… together?" --- The Final Choice Aarav and Saanvi glanced at each other. They had spent centuries chasing fate, breaking curses, running toward and away from eternity. Now, at the end of their mortal lives, fate had come to them. Saanvi smiled softly. "If we walk through this door… what happens?" The Guardian’s expression did not change. "You will leave this world behind. And step into something new. Together." Aarav exhaled slowly, then turned to Saanvi. "Do you want to go?" Saanvi’s fingers trembled in his. She looked around—their home, the garden, the world they had built. Their mortal life had been beautiful. But they both knew—their journey wasn’t over. She met his gaze, and without hesitation, whispered—"Yes." Aarav nodded. "Then we go together." Hand in hand, they rose to their feet. Their bodies were old, but their souls were still young. The Guardian lifted a hand—and a final door appeared before them. No carvings. No prophecies. Just a simple wooden door. Aarav turned to Saanvi one last time. "Are you ready?" Saanvi smiled. "I have been ready for centuries." And together—they stepped through. The door closed behind them. And the world moved on. But somewhere, in a place beyond time and fate— Aarav and Saanvi’s story began again. ---
