Beyond the Final Door
The moment Aarav and Saanvi stepped through the final door, the world dissolved into light.
For the briefest moment, they felt weightless—as if unbound from everything they had ever known.
Then—a new world unfolded before them.
They were standing in a vast meadow, where the sky shimmered in endless shades of dawn and dusk at once. The wind carried the scent of jasmine and rain—a fragrance they both remembered from a lifetime long past.
Aarav turned to Saanvi, his breath catching. "We’re here."
But where was here?
Saanvi’s fingers tightened around his. "Do you think… this is the afterlife?"
Before Aarav could answer, a figure appeared before them.
Not the Guardian. Not a god. Not a spirit.
It was… Saarya.
She looked different now—no longer burdened by time, no longer a lost wanderer. She was whole.
"Welcome," she said, her voice warm. "You made it."
Aarav stepped forward, his eyes sharp with curiosity. "Where are we?"
Saarya smiled. "Where all untold stories begin."
She gestured behind her, and for the first time, Aarav and Saanvi saw it.
A massive, spiraling city of gold and glass, floating above a sea of stars. Towers twisted like vines, glowing with memories of lives once lived.
It was not heaven. Not reincarnation.
It was something more.
A place where lost souls could choose their own destiny.
Saanvi’s heart pounded. "So… we get to choose what happens next?"
Saarya nodded. "Yes. You can start again. Live as mortals in a new world. Become something greater. Or…"
She hesitated. "You can go back. Choose another door. Another story."
Aarav looked at Saanvi, the thrill of possibility burning in his chest.
"We spent so many lifetimes being bound to fate," he murmured. "But now… we’re free."
Saanvi exhaled slowly. "Then let’s make this life—our next—something worth remembering."
Aarav grinned. "Together?"
Saanvi smiled. "Always."
And so, as the golden city pulsed with a thousand untold stories waiting to be written, Aarav and Saanvi stepped forward—ready to begin again.
Wherever they went next, whatever world awaited—
their love would always find its way through time.
