CHAPTER TWO

ALEXANDRA

"Mama, I'm home". I said as I slam the door and walked in, feeling so tired.

I walked inside the kitchen and found my mom, cooking.

"Mama"! I called and she turned to look at me and smiled.

"Hey hunnie, how was school today"? She said, washing her hands and she came over and kissed me on my forehead.

"Not bad Mama, it was good". I replied and dropped my bag on the table.

"I hope you didn't cause any trouble"? She asked and I smirked.

She turned to look at me and saw me smirking and her eyes widened in shock.

"Alexandra"! She half yelled and I groaned.

"Oh Mama, c'mon, it wasn't my fault. The girl tried to bully me". I replied and folded my arms across my chest.

"And what did you do after she tried to bully you huh"? Mom asked and placed her two hands on her hips.

"I spilled juice on her". I said nonchalantly and she sighed placing her hand on her forehead.

"This girl won't be the death of me"! She exclaimed and I laughed and took my bag and walked briskly out of the kitchen.

"Come back here you naughty girl, I'm not done with you"!! Mama yelled and I giggled, running upstairs to my room and I closed the door behind me. I walked to the bathroom and pulled out my clothes quickly and got into the bathtub.

"The food is ready Alexa, don't tell me you are still in the bathroom all this while"! Mama yelled after a few minutes.

Of course I was still in the bathroom. It was so relaxing just sitting in the bathtub full of soapy bubbles and warm water. I stood up after bathing and I picked my white towel from the rack and wrapped myself with it.

"Alexa your food is going to get cold"! Mama yelled again.

"I'm coming Mama". I yelled back and looked at myself in the mirror and glare at myself. I looked down and looked at the birth mark on my ribs, a drawing of a wolf,curled up like it's sleeping. I rubbed it and sighed.

I walked out of the bathroom and walked over to my closet to pick my dress

"I thought you were not going to come downstairs". Mama said, looking at me indignantly and I smiled as I sat down on one of the chairs in the dinning table and I opened my food. The delicious aroma of spaghetti and meatballs waffled through my nostrils and my mouth watered.

"My Mama is such a good cook". I said and my mom looked at me sarcastically and I grinned, picking up my chopsticks.

"I'm serious Mama". I said and she laughed.

"Well, well, look what we have here". I heard someone say from behind me. I recognize that voice, anywhere, anytime.

"Papa"!! I yelled and I stood up from my chair and ran towards him, hugging him tightly.

"I can't breathe hunnie". Papa said, pretending to gasp for breathe and I laughed, finally releasing him.

"I didn't see you this morning Papa". I said in a childish tone and papa ruffled my hair lovingly.

"I'm sorry sweetie, I had serious work at the site and I had to wake up early. That's why you didn't see me. But I'm done with my work now so I'm back early". He said and sat beside my Mama.

"When did you arrive home? I didn't know you were in the house". I said also joining them in the dinning.

"I came and your mother told me that you just came back from school and you were bathing". He said and I nodded happily and I continue to eat my food.

I'm the only child of my parents. Well, we are not rich but we are not poor either. My mom works in the laundry while my dad works as a site manager. Even though we are not as rich, but we have enough to take care of ourselves and we are happy. Very happy!!

I got to school the next day and I sat down and placed my backpack on my desk.

"Sup Stella"! I greeted Stella beside me and she smiled.

"Hey bestie, have you done your homework"? She asked and I frowned at her.

"I'm not giving you my homework". I said.

"C'mon, don't be mean". She groaned and I chuckled.

"When will you ever do your assignment on your own"? I asked and she made a sad face at me.

"Don't try to bribe me with that puppy face of yours"! I retorted and I she threw her hands looking frustrated.

"I didn't understand the assignment okay? So c'mon bestie". She said and began to tug at my bagpack.

"Hey"! I said and tried to pull the bag from her but she pulled it from my grasp and began to check inside for my book. Silly girl.

"Ermm, excuse me". A junior said and walked towards me.

"Any problem". I asked politely.

"Not really, the principal wants to see you in her office right away". She said and I furrowed my brows and me and Stella looked at each other.

"For what"? I asked the junior student and she shook her head.

"I don't know". She replied and I nodded.

"I'm coming right away". I said and she scurried off.

"Why will the principal wants to see you"? Stella asked.

"Are you in trouble"? She asked again and I rolled my eyes at her.

"How would I know? I guess I'll have to find out". I said and stood up and walked out of the class and walked towards the principal's office.

I stood in front of the principal's office and I sighed and knocked at the door.

"Come on in". I heard her say and I opened the door and walked in.

The principal sat on her chair, facing me and I smiled. She was a beautiful woman in her forties. Dressed in a blue navy suit and a white top inside, she packed her brown hair into a bun that made her look so formal. Her makeup made her look a bit younger.

"Good morning Mrs Johnson". I greeted smiling and she smiled back at me.

"Good morning, have a seat Miss Alexandra". She replied.

As I was about to sit down, I noticed that we were not the only one as there was another student sitting in front of her. I sat down on the other chair and looked and, oooooooooh.....................

It's Rosa!!!!!!

I smirked inside me. So she came over to report me. This is so ridiculous!!

I sat down beside her and she glared at me and I rolled my eyes at her. Who gives a damn about this b***h?

"Do you know the reason why you are here"? Mrs Johnson asked and I smiled.

"Well, not really, but seeing her", I said, referring to Rosa and she shot a glare at me again.

"Seeing her here gives me a clue".

"What happened between you both yesterday"? Mrs Johnson asked and I sighed and explained exactly what happened to Mrs Johnson.

"Well, Rosa here told me that you pushed her". Mrs Johnson said and I sighed.

"She attacked me first, after I spilled the drink on her and tried to walk away, she attacked me from behind, dragging my hair and I pushed her". I replied.

Actually, after me and Stella tried to walk away, she dragged me by the hair from behind and with so much difficulty, I pushed her to the ground and now she is here trying to blame me for what I did not do??

"Mrs Johnson, she is lying. I swear I didn't even touch her. I don't know why she is so mean to me". Rosa said and bursted into tears.

"She should be given a detention Mrs Johnson".

I chuckled. This b***h is such a drama queen.

"I never knew you were such a good actress. You should sign up for acting class yunno". I said to her and she glared at me again.

"Watch it you b***h". She said and I rolled my eyes.

"That's enough"! Mrs Johnson retorted and we turned to look at her.

She turned to the junior student who she sent to call me.

"Call me any male student from their class". She said to the junior student, pointing at us.

"Yes ma'am". She replied and ran off.

Few minutes later, the junior student walked over with a male from our class. Rob!!

This is such a bad idea!!

"Mr Rob"! Mrs Johnson called.

"Good morning Mrs Johnson". He greeted and turned to look at both of us.

I know that he won't tell the truth. Of course he wouldn't! He is Rosa's admirer!!!!

"Can you tell us what happened in the school cafeteria yesterday with your classmates". The principal asked and he turned to look at us.

"Well", he began. "Rosa was passing by with her friends, I don't know what Alexandra did to her and Rosa got angry. Rosa was just trying to talk to her and then Alexandra spilled her drink on Rosa and push her to the ground and walked away". Rob stated and I yelled.

"You jerk!! Can't you just be honest for once?? Why are you supporting her? Because you like her? You are a pathetic liar"!! I yelled in anger and Mrs Johnson smacked her hands on her desk and I turned to met her angry eyes. I cooled down immediately and adjusted myself on my seat. I turned angry to look at Rosa and she had a smirk on her face.

"You should control yourself in front of me Miss Alexandra". The principal said sternly and I sighed.

"I'm sorry Mrs Johnson".

"Go and call the school president". Mrs Johnson said to the junior student and she scurried off again.

She walked back to the office with the school president trailing behind her who looked oblivious about what was happening.

"Good morning Mrs Johnson". Ruby greeted and glanced at all of us in the office. Yeah, her name is Ruby.

"I know you to be honest and trustworthy and please answer my questions honestly". Mrs Johnson said and Ruby nodded.

"Of course Mrs Johnson".

"Good, were you at the cafeteria yesterday"? Mrs Johnson asked and Ruby nodded.

"Now, briefly tell us what happened between Rosa and Alexa". Mrs Johnson said, looking intently at Ruby and she sighed.

"Well, I was actually eating with my friends when I heard a bang. I turned to look and I saw Rosa looking at Alexa angrily and told her to get up because she and her friends wanted to sit there. Alexa ignored her and that got Rosa angry. She threw Alexa's drink on the floor and that enraged Alexa. So Alexa got angry and spilled Stella's drink on her and tried to walk away. But Rosa lunged at her and dragged her hair. Out of pain and defence, Alexa pushed her to the ground and walked away. That's what happened Mrs Johnson". Ruby stated as matter of factly.

Happiness welled up in my heart. Thank goodness I don't have to be blamed for what I did not do.

I looked at Rosa and her face was red with fury.

After everything had been settled, Mrs Johnson dissimissed all of us and we all walked back to our classes.

"This isn't over yet you b***h"! Rosa cursed angrily and marched to the class in anger.

I rolled my eyes and turned to look at Ruby with a smile on my face.

"Thanks Ruby". I said and she gave me a warm smile.

Ruby is not actually a slim beauty. She looked chubby and plump with amburn hair and brown eyes. Because she was chubby, she was mocked and bullied by Rosa's crew.

"It's nothing, I did it for myself". She said and we both smiled and walked back to the class.
