Nithe and I had just finished a long and boring meeting with some potential new clients. It had been hard to get back in the swing of things after so much time away.
We had just sat down in my office to discuss things when my phone started ringing. It was Kaida.
“Hey, Sweetheart… Woah, slow down… OK, it’s fine. We prepared for this. I have a chopper waiting on the roof here and I will call Alvira and get her to take Kai to the island… OK, see you soon.”

“Kai is starting his shift,” I said before dialling Al’s number. I had already given her a heads-up about this possibly happening.
