Chapter 1: Amelia's pov:
Thhrrrrrriiiinngg!!!!!
My phone's alarm buzzed angrily, as if on cue, mum called for me down stairs.
You know the whole Saturday tale, clean up the house, do the laundry, and goes on and on.
"Amelia!!!! It's Saturday, you shouldn't be sleeping in for heaven's sake!!!" Mum said from downstairs.
I mumbled something about she leaving me alone to sleep but the magic of sleep faded off as soon as it came.
I grabbed my phone and checked out our class group chat. A hundred and eighty missed messages, for heaven's sake, don't they sleep?
I didn't bother reading them, I jumped off the bed, brushed, bathed, got into a 90's baggy jeans and a armless white top with wordings: SHE A BAD b***h. I grabbed my phone and went downstairs.
"Good morning, mum." I said as I entered the kitchen. She was busy cleaning up the displaced pots and pans, I pecked her.
"Hey darling, help me with that napkin over there." She pointed to a pink napkin, I picked it up and gave it to her, she wiped her hands clean and turned to me. She swept a curious look at me all over.
"Why're you dressed like you're going on an outing?" Mum asked.
I nodded, smiled and flashed her my cutest smile cuz I know Saturday is a sacred day for mum, she'd do anything to keep me at home on a Saturday but this one's impossible.
"Yeah, we kinda have an outing, we just wanna tour the city, like teens that we are. You know?" I said while she stared incredulously at me.
"Amelia, you know Saturday is a family day, why will you agree on a day like Saturday?"
" Mum, it's just an outing."
"It's not about the outing. It's about the date you set for it. You are not going."
"Mum please, it's 'a once in a lifetime kinda thing', I'm just a girl." I gave her the cutest puppy eyes so she won't be able to dismiss me. Mum sighed.
"Just for today." She said. My face lit up in happiness. I hugged her.
"I swear. Only today and I'll come back early," I kissed her cheeks and dashed to my room, took my face cap and mini bag then did a very light make up and wore my white sneakers.
I put on my white hoodie and dashed out to 7-Eleven, where we (4) agreed to meet.
I and my friends :
Zane: Childhood bestie, same junior high school and, our parents were family besties, he's insanely attractive. Captain of the basketball team so you can imagine how tall he is.
Zara: Captain of the dance team, best dancer in senior high school, won different dance awards for the school, everyone is proud of her.
Daphne: Nerd but the best, funny nerd you'll ever encounter , she's beautiful and went to the Olympiad physics competition thrice and won all three times, when it comes to books, Daphne never carries last.
Amelia(me): Total average student , in fact I think I'm the most ordinary among us, never scored an A+ but never scored an F9 as well so I'm balanced.
We had fun all day but as we were about to leave for our various homes , I bumped into someone.
"Hey, watch it." The girl said but once she looked up at me, she froze. Two other girls joined her and they froze as well.
One with extremely chocolate skin gasped. "Is that the princess?" The others nodded.
Princess?
They must be mistaken, I'm no princess, I'm just Amelia. Before I could react, Daphne caught up to me, Zane and Zara were at the bus stop and within 7 solid seconds , Daphne assessed them.
"Hey, are you okay?" Daphne asked. I nodded and glanced back at the girls, they left already. Daphne looked at them at the far distance.
"You know them?" She nodded in their direction. I shook my head.
"I don't but is it weird, they called me PRINCESS." I said to Daphne.
She frowned.
"Let's just get to the bus."
Later before heading home, Daphne dragged me to a back alley library after Zane and Zara departed.
To tell the truth, even though I and Zane are childhood besties, I and Daphne were closer, she knew my deepest secret, my darkest secret: how much I crushed on the school president, KAEL, oh God , he's so HOT!!!!
But a crush will always be just a crush, he never ever even looked at me.
We went into the library, checked in and she dragged me into her own private corner of the library, never been there but she always bragged about it.
She put on her personal bought night lamp and handed me a book. I looked at the book then back at her.
"Are you kidding me? A group of unknown girls bumped into me and called me PRINCESS in a very shocked state and all you got to do is hand me a book? Read the room, Daphne."
She stared at me intensely then at the book, I looked at the book and read out the title :
"THE REALMS." I said." Now that sounds creepy."
