Episode 1
You know what you need to do, so do it."
"Yes, sir,"
That's a typical exchange between my mafia boss father and his crew.
By the way, my name is Feliz, and I'm Oden Svenson's daughter. My mother Alpin died three years ago as a result of a werewolf attack on our mansion that was designed to kill my father but instead stole my mother's life. I'm 18 years old and currently enrolled in my first year of medical school. I'd always wanted to help dad and take over as leader, but he wouldn't let me, claiming that my older brother Kyan should take over.
Let me take you inside my life now that you know a little about me.
-In Feliz's bedroom
"What are you doing?"
"What's the matter with you?"
"The black skirt is more sexier than the pink skirt."
You're probably wondering who I'm speaking to. To be honest, I have no idea; it's a voice in my head that has irritated me since I was a child. When I tell my mother, she generally thinks it's my guardian angel communicating with me. Do you think I'm crazy? Maybe, but I know it's not my voice; it's a different tone altogether.
"Are you aware that you're becoming irritating?"
"I'm being helpful, and I know things you don't."
"Stop claiming that you are the one who knows more because you are the one who is inside my thoughts."
"I'm aware..."
My phone rang, interrupting the argument.
I answered:
"How's the beauty doing, Fee?"
Yeah, and that's Destiny, my best friend, who is a little weird but whom I adore and who has been by my side since high school. She's a mysterious young lady who has never revealed anything about herself to me, but I have a feeling she has many secrets that I am unaware of. She accomplishes anything she sets her mind to. She's the blonde girl everyone wants to date, but she despises all males due to father issues and an ex-boyfriend who used her for s****l purposes. Her mother is a doctor, and she has always aspired to be like her, which is why she is overjoyed.
"Hey Dee, not horrible."
"IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF MEDICAL SCHOOL! How are you feeling?"
"To be honest, it's dreadful."
"why?"
"You know, I never wanted to be in medical school, I never wanted to be a doctor, that was never my plan for myself."
"I know, that's a pain. However, have you attempted to persuade your father?"
"To be honest, I'm not sure what his reaction will be."
"Then give it a shot."
"what? No!"
"Why? "There's nothing to lose."
"What do you mean?"
"Yes, just give it a shot, maybe he will understand."
"All right, i don't know but i think you're right how would i know if i didn't at least try?"
"Exactly! That's my girl!"
"Pray for the salvation of my soul.Rest in peace, I"
"HAHA! Fee, Fee, Fee!"
"I'll see you later."
I hung up the phone, remembering what she had said...
"Go ahead and do it."
"Nooo! Not you again!"
"Keep talking; you know you need me deep down. In any case, go speak with him! Also, remember to take your medication "You're probably wondering what the medicine is for. Well, I've had a chronic disease for which I've been taking medication since I was four years old. I don't recall the symptoms because they disappeared after I began treatment.
I dared to approach my father and made my way to his office. We were never allowed to enter Dad's office unless he specifically requested it. Of course, bodyguards are stationed outside his entrance like monuments.
"Hey, Johnny!"
Johnny is my father's bodyguard and chauffeur.
"Miss Svensen, good morning."
"Could I possibly speak with my father?"
My father's voice could be heard there: "Get in, sweetie!"
I walked into the vast area, which was filled with dark secrets and riddles that no one should know about. I can't recall the last time I walked into this room. My father is seated behind his throne, surrounded by thousands of papers on his desk and a cigarette between his fingers. When he realized I was apprehensive, he stood up and walked towards me, spreading his arms for a hug.
"How is my little girl?"
"I-I'm OK, thanks, dad."
"What's the matter with you, you're shaking?"
"Nothing, just wanted to speak with you if that's all ok."
"Come in and take a seat," he says.
"Dad I've always gone out of my way to please you, and I've done everything you've asked of me, but I don't think I'm cut out to be a doctor. I'd like to join the mafia and assist you."
Dad has always been understanding, and I noticed his eyes softening as I spoke.
He let's out a smirk that made me actually think, for a second that maybe I did it, that I had convinced him, but then he jumped up from his chair and walked over to me, caressed my face, and said: "Look, darling, you may not like what I'm about to say, but there are some types of employment that are not suitable for females. It's risky; believe me, you think you know your limits, but you don't. I understand your age, when you believe you can do anything but truly can't.I'm aware of what's best for you."
That sentence has the power to devastate a teenager's life, to crush their hearts, and to make them feel weak.
I fought back tears as I exited my father's secret room, knowing that what he said had increased my desire to be the leader. I want to show them all that just because I'm a lady doesn't mean I can't be a boss, but I know it'll take some time.
As I descended the stairwell, guess who was waiting for me?
