Chapter 53 Thalia The morning light peeking through the cave opening seemed brighter than usual. Warm, but not harsh on the skin. A kind of light that seemed to carry a new beginning—or a warning. The dream came back to me. Images of war. Of betrayal. Of the White Great Wolf race being oppressed by the darkness of the Black Moon. “Thalia,” Aldric called from the cave entrance. “Are you alright?” I nodded, forcing myself to get up even though my chest felt heavy. When we left the cave, we were met by a cold breeze from the edge of the cliff. The sun was low—it was still early morning. We were halfway up the cliff, and from our position, we could see a place that seemed to be ablaze with light in the middle of the rocks. There, it seemed as if tiny rays were creeping from the ground.
