Chapter 9
THALIA
I strolled through the vast forest of the Blood Rose Pack, needing some alone time to refresh myself after the day's events. I followed the water's edge and spotted a high waterfall cascading down. Besides the stream where Beta Ryker and I bathed earlier, there was another waterfall upstream; where I am now.
I couldn't help but feel thrilled when I saw the crystal-clear water flowing from above.
"Athena, the water here is truly beautiful. The Blood Rose Pack is so lucky to have water that gives strength to the werewolves living here," I said with a smile.
I looked around and sensed if anyone else was there besides me. My smile broadened when I confirmed I was alone in this place.
