I woke up early.
It was quiet all around. I could only hear the faint sound of water from a small stream inside the cave. It was like nature's song. Gentle. Calming.
The light coming from the crystals on the ceiling was just enough for me to see my surroundings. It wasn't blinding, but enough to keep me from feeling scared.
I looked up. And for the first time in a long time, I felt no fear. It was strange. I didn't know if it was because of the quietness of the place... or because I knew I wasn't alone.
