"Even the most expert doctors can't figure out what's wrong with King Lucian," Dr. Nor said to me. We were standing in front of the King that look so weak in the hospital bed. When King Lucian saw me, he smiled and reached out for my hand.
"It's good that you visited me, Alpha Aldric. How's your father, Imre?" he asked in a weak voice.
"Dad is doing fine. Next time, he'll visit you too. I'm here to tell you that I'll take you to the Blood Rose Pack territory," I said to the king of the White Shadow Pack.
He shook his head at my offer. "It's not possible. I don't want to drag you and your pack into trouble with the Dark Moon Pack. At least here in the human world, they can't easily identify or approach me," the king refused.
