King Lucian cleared his throat before answering my question.
"You're right, Thalia. I couldn't shift into my wolf form because our lineage was cursed by a dark witch. But we don't know how to break the curse since the witch who cast it is already dead. She collaborated with the Black Wood Pack to defeat us. It was too late when Brianna arrived, and she didn't know how to lift the curse either."
My lips parted when he mentioned Brianna's name. Even so, I wouldn't say that Brianna is my friend. He had told me before that Brianna helped protect the palace until now.
