Joelle’s p.o.v

I knew that things would be bad once the doctor walked out that door. I get dressed quickly not wanting to make the Alpha wait very long and head out of the room. All eyes are on me, "We have a very strong Luna Ethan says." Zander is on me before I speak. "May I see little wolf?" I shake my head yes and pull my shirt to just below my bra. I see my poor mate’s eyes turn black as night. I slowly put my hand on his chest to let him know that I was there. Before I know it I am wrapped up in a gentle hug with Zander’s nose buried in my neck trying to control the beast within. He begins to back away, "I am truly sorry for that. I don’t know what I was thinking." I raise my head to meet his eyes and say, "I know what you were thinking. You were thinking that you needed the comfort of your mate. That you needed my help to console Ben while he tried to come forward. I understand why you did what you did Alpha. It does make me feel good knowing that you needed me and that I could help you. I am what people call a people pleaser. Plus it is just in my nature to be a caring person that wants to help. I can’t stop being who I am but maybe just maybe I can become a better version of myself." "Alpha? Joelle, please for the love of the Moon Goddess call me Zander." "Alpha there is something I need for all three of you to know I say while looking at the three men, if I didn’t address someone with the proper title I was hit. If I didn’t keep my eyes on the ground I would be hit." I notice Zander getting angry so I place my hand on his arm. "I need to be patient with myself and I need you to be patient with me because there is so much that I have to relearn to be the best Luna that I can be to my family." "Your family, Zander asked?" "Yes, you and this pack are my family now." "I see, well I think I might have some news that will make you really happy." "What is it, I asked?" "Well, I spoke to your father and mother earlier." "What? What do you mean you spoke to them, I ask?" "Well, we know your family as we said before. So I called and they are making arrangements to be here by the end of the week." "At the end of the week, I gasped." "Yes, your whole family is coming. Well, your parents and siblings that is." "I have more than a twin?" "Yes, you also have a ten-year-old sister and a four-year-old brother that will be coming." All I could do was smile like a fool. This was it, I was going to finally meet my other family. How am I supposed to act? Will they like me? "Joelle, they are going to love you. They are our family, Willow tells me. They have been looking for us all along. They never gave up on finding us. Soon we will be reunited. They have missed us. You forget we are their pup." "Will they know it’s me though?" "You just wait and see little wolf, Willow states." "My love, are you speaking with Willow?" "Yes, sorry... Zander, I say. She was assuring me that they will like me and know who I am." "Of course, they will darling. How could they not love you? You are kind, compassionate, caring, beautiful, and strong. You will make an amazing Luna my dear. How about we go and let you rest for a bit and then we can introduce you to the pack when you are ready?" "I don't need to rest, I say." "Luna, you really should rest. It would be a good idea to rest and not push or try and prove that you aren't in pain." "Willow, what do you think I should do? I believe that you need to listen to your mate and the doctor. If you give me a few hours I will heal you of all your injuries." "You can I ask her?" “Well, yes I can, she said. I can do a lot of things that will help us and protect us." "Willow, should we show them what we can do with the fire?" I think it would help us to show them that we are trying to be trustful.” "Guys, can I show you something that I can do?" Zander is the first to speak. "Well, yes darlin you can." "We should go out to the woods." As we make our way back into the timber I grow more uneasy that something is going to happen very soon and I will have to figure out all of my powers. "Okay so here it is, don’t be worried Zander I can’t feel it when it happens." We make it to the tree line. I close my eyes and envision the flames in the palm of my hands. I breathe in and out and try to relax as Willow showed me. I open my eyes when I hear the three men gasp. Derrick is the first to speak, "You’re telling me you don’t feel the burn?" "It doesn’t burn me but I’m sure it will burn something else." "Willow, can I burn something?" “Yes, my dear you can. Just breathe and think of what you want to burst into flames.” I close my eyes yet again and think of the flower that is just to my left and up in flames it goes. "Holy crap, Zander says." "I did it! I did it, Willow." "Yes, little one you did. I am so very proud of you. Now think of how the flames feel. The warmth that is against your skin. The way the flames glisten on the water. Envision it all across your body." I breathe in deeply, thinking of the way it would look to cross my arms to move over my body and instantly the flames start to move along my skin. It almost feels like the mate bond. With the static and heat coming from the flames. I open my eyes to see these three men looking at me in amazement. Zander slowly walks up to me and extends his hand toward me. "Zander, honey I don’t know if this will hurt you, I say." He wraps my hand in his and looks at me. "All I feel is the warmth. It’s not at all burning me." "Maybe it’s because you are her mate, or that you are not making her feel threatened, said Ethan." Zander steps even closer to me and before we know it he is engulfed in the fire just like me. "I don’t feel burning, it’s just a warm feeling across my body, he tells us." "I can’t believe the Moon Goddess blessed us with such a wonderful and amazing Luna, Ethan states." "I don’t feel like I am those things haha, I say." "You are my dear mate." "Let’s go back so you can rest, Ethan tells me." We come back to the packhouse to discover most of the pack waiting for us outside. "Well, I guess you are going to meet some of the pack now, Derrick says." "They are just excited to meet their Luna, Ethan states." "Hello everyone, as you may know by now that this is your Luna and my mate Joelle, says Zander." "Hello to everyone. I hope to be the very best Luna that I can be. Please if any of you have any concerns or need anything don’t hesitate to come to me, I tell them." A little girl steps up with her hand raised and asks, "Why are your hair and eyes those colors?" "What is your name sweetie," I say as I kneel in front of her. "My name is Amanda and I am five years old." "Well, you see Amanda the Moon Goddess only gives a few of us these colors but I really like your brown hair and green eyes." The little girl just smiles and backs up to her parents.
