Highschool Highs(Chapter-1)
"Honey, we need to talk," Mr. Byrne called out to his wife.
"What happened?"
"I've got transferred. We need to move," he uttered in a stiff tone.
"Oh, which part of the we're gonna inhabit now?" she chuckled," Okay, so I've got a lot of packing to do and the sooner you will tell me, the sooner I'll get to work."
"There's a problem, I've got transferred to a remote area," Mr. Byrne responded gloomily.
"So what? countryside is lovable".
"you aren't getting me Emma; that place is educationally worst. There are literally no academic opportunities. If we will take Claire and Cole with us, there future will be at stake and I can't let that happen," he sounded utterly dejected and passionate for his children's future at the same time.
"Then where will we send them? We can't leave them alone," Mrs. Byrne was concerned.
"That's what we have to think about. Is there someone in your sight who could take them in and most importantly live in a megacity?"
"How about my sister, Rayna? She lives in London, is trustworthy and they like her. Moreover, she lives alone as she's single, she'll enjoy their company and will be very happy to have them," Mrs. Byrne proposed in a cheerful tone.
"It's just perfect," his voice was filled with contentment.
"Now I'm going to talk to them first Cole, easy target and then Claire, It will be very hard to convince her", Mr. Byrne said.

"Cole..., Cole..., come downstairs," Mr. Byrne called his son.
He headed downstairs noisily and got in front of his dad.
"Yes Dad."
"I've got transferred so we are moving".
"Okay... They took a little long to transfer you this time," he chuckled, " Then I should start packing," he started to descend from there.
"Actually, you are not coming with us," Mr. Byrne interrupted his swift walk and he retarded to the same position where he was.
"Then where are we going, Dad?" he was confused.
"You and Claire are going to Rayna's place." he replied.
"Rayna! that silly aunt of mine. Though silly but I like her," he chuckled.
"Then also I have to pack, see you morrow," Cole went to his room as noisily as he got down.
" This boy can live anywhere, with anyone," Mr. Byrne mumbled to himself," Now, my princess".
He headed upstairs to Claire's room.

"What is my daughter doing?" Mr. Byrne said approaching his daughter.
He sat beside her.
"Nothing much some reading like always," Claire said turning towards him.
They both exchanged an adorable glance and smiled to each other. Claire closed the books.
"How was your day, Dad?"
"Oh.., Yes.., yes It was good," he took a while to answer.
" What happened Dad? Do you want to say something?"
"I've got transferred dear so, we are moving."
"Okay.. then, what's the problem?" Claire asked with concern.
" The problem is dear, We can't take you and Cole with us", he said dismally.
"What? But... then where will we go? I'm not going anywhere without you," she acted in resent.
"I know Claire but I have to this. That place is a remote area and education wise; isn't good at all. I'm aware you want to do something in your life and that's why I can't compromise with yours and Cole's studies. Please try to understand dear. Both of you will stay at your aunt Rayna's place. London is a city of dreams and is capable of helping you in achieving yours."
Tears welled up in Claire's eyes. She saw her dad with salty water flooding her eyes.
"Please! You are my strong girl dear," he said pressing her hands into his'.
Claire took a deep breath and wiped her eyes.
"Only If you promise me that you will visit me every weekend, and every means every no matter what. So say, do you promise," she asked.
"Of course dear, I promise," he hugged her warmly and gave a kiss on her forehead," Then start packing my doctor to be," Mr. Byrne got up, patted on her cheek and approached the door. Cole was passing through the hallway. He saw Claire's face.
"Don worry lil sister, I'll be there to babysit you," he laughed.
"Cole....!!" she screamed and threw a pillow over him which didn't hit him at all but only the door suffered it.
"And I'm older than You...!!" she yelled.
"Only by 6 minutes that are negligible", his fainted voice reached her ears as he was downstairs by this time.

Dear Diary,
So... I'm going to London. I'm not sad ..actually I'm. But I shouldn't be because Dad is doing the write thing and in the hearts of my heart I know this as well, but... No I'm gonna be strong I'm gonna be brave and I'm gonna work very hard so that it'll be worth it. They'll be visiting us every weekend but I know that this won't be possible though he'll try his best to keep his promise. Fortunately Cole is with me. He is annoying but we will take care of each other and You are also with me :) I 'm somewhat worried about new school also as I'll be joining in the middle of the year I'd have a lot to catch upon. How would be people there? You know that I'm not an introvert and due to changing a lot of schools I'm quite experienced in making new acquaintances, Yes like mom...I've inherited this from her but , don't know why there is this feeling in my stomach ...stop Claire, leave it and let's hope for the best (fingers crossed)Ok bye for now I've got a lot of work as we have to leave tomorrow.
Good Night :)

"Wake up Claire! else all of us will miss our flights, come on, wake up," Mrs. Byrne yelled at her from outside her room and went into Cole's. But she didn't respond at all as she was in an another dimension. As she saw her still sleeping, she broke into the room.
"Claire!! wake up".
This time finally she did. She collected herself and started crawling towards the bathroom. By the time she got out, everyone stood ready at the front porch calling her name. She grabbed her bags and rushed downstairs towards the porch.
"Claire..!! hurry up else we're gonna leave you hear," Cole shouted.
" Shut up.. I'm ready", Claire reached there.
All of them got into taxis. Claire sat by the window. As the taxi started and was leaving, she pulled her head outside the window and kept looking at the house until she lost sight of it. A thankful smile appeared over her face. She turned to Cole, he gave him a thumbs up and smiled back. Claire leaned onto her the back of the seat and music began comforting her ears as she put on her earphones. She closed her eyes to cherish it.
