My name is Daniela Noriega and I turn 18 in a few months. I want what every she-wolf wants...find my mate, the other half of my soul. I'm both excited and terrified. My parents were the gammas of the Midnight pack and decided on changing packs after inappropriate behavior from our former Beta Luca. Luca began stalking me and our former Alpha John sided with his Beta and accused me of trying to seduce his Luca. Gross, I could never!!! I already miss my friends but I'm relieved to finally be out of there. I make a mental note to face time Nina and Cherie my besties. I take a deep breath repeating to myself it'll all be ok. I'm fine! After unpacking and settling in my mom informed me to get ready. Our new alpha has invited us to dinner. My parents being former gammas need to make a good impression at the hopes of getting a decent rank. "No jeans and t-shirts Daniela I mean it!!" my mom says as I walk away rolling my eyes. I rush up the stairs to my closet and look for something decent to wear. after spending some time searching I pulled out my favorite dark purple dress with some cute sandals. I let down my long black hair deciding on a touch of eye shadow and mascara to make my green eyes pop. My wolf's anxiety is running at an all time high making my palms clammy...I try to calm Nyx down but she's silently pacing in my mind. When finally arrived at the aplha's home to be greeted by both Alpha Micah and Luna Elizabeth. Luna Elizabeth apologizes for her son's absence saying Michael will join us shortly. Luna seats us and the omegas start serving plates My luck just about the time I'm spooning some food into my mouth in walks the most handsome guy I have ever seen. he's built like a blue eyed viking god. My eyes roam from his beautiful blue eyes down his chiseled jaw and on to his broad shoulders I start wondering how delicious he would look shirtless... catching myself undressing him with my eyes. I quickly realized everyone is looking at me. I was too busy staring at the viking god to notice introductions have been made and it was my turn to say hello. turning beet red I quickly dropped my fork shut my mouth and nodded in a haze. I hear my father ahem and realize a hand has been extended to me and the god is speaking to me. Coming out of my trance I hear Nyx my wolf snort in amusement telling me "real smooth Danny". shyly I shake his warm hand and say nice to meet you. His eyes flicker between blue and silver and I know his wolf is present. Suddenly he yanks back his hand like my touch burned him. confused I ask Nyx what that was about and all of a sudden she's silent. Michael makes a disgusted face and asks promptly to be excused and walks off. "awkward" I think to myself. We end up finishing dinner with small chit chat and take our coffee and dessert into the sitting room. I excuse myself to freshen up a bit and collect my thoughts. looking in the mirror I tell myself to get it together Danny. Just as I walk out of the restroom I come face to face with a brick wall of a person. as I start to apologize I'm shoved against the wall without warning. Michael is snarling in my face telling me to stay the f**k out of his way. I turn my head in submission and say I'm sorry. He releases me and I slide to the ground as he stalks off. It takes me a minute to stop the tears that threaten to come out and catch my breath. finally joining everyone in the sitting room my parents take one look at my face and decide it's time to go, both Alpha and Luna exchange worried looks while my parents announce our goodbyes. As we walk out the door and reach the car I remember I left my sweater behind. "I'll be right back i need to grab my sweater" I say. I knocked on the door and no one answered. Opening the door I announced "Alpha, Luna I'm just gonna grab my sweater". walking in I grab my sweater and turn to leave when I hear Luna Elizabeth saying she's worried that Michael's demons are back. I bolted to the door not wanting to hear another word I shouldn't. Demons??? what??? did I hear that right?!?
