“Berkut riot policemen smashed his skull. My best friend died,” Volodymyr Kamyanka, Stryi Town council member, says about the Hero of the Celestial Hundred who died in the Maidan. The circumstances of Korchak’s death are not known for a fact. Some consequences of a bullet wound and chest trauma were found on his body.
Andiy’s sister Olga picks up from his friend and says that Berkut riot policemen went on to assault the place where the Stryi sotnya [hundred] — to which Andriy belonged—was stationed.
