“When I was already on my way to the morgue to get my brother’s body, I needed to choose a photo of him to show people what Vasyl was like. I chose the picture from the times when he visited our mother in Italy. He has such a genuine smile on that one. When I came to the morgue for the body, I looked down and saw the exact same smile on his face... only his eyes were closed,” says Roman, Vasyl Moisei’s brother, who could not help but cry. On the 20th of February the 21-year-old man from Lutsk was shot by a sniper on the Maidan.
His friends and relatives say that Vasyl was always very happy and cheerful. He was full of optimism that he always shared with others.
