The hero of the Celestial Hundred Alexandr Tsarek died from gunshot wounds in Instytutska street on February 20.
“The burned areas around the bullet holes show that he was shot at almost point-blank range,” says the hero's son Alexandr.
Tsarek left three adult sons, an adopted daughter from his first marriage and a five-year-old Nika, his little cossack girl, from his second marriage.
“He grew up in Vinnytsia region, finished a Building college in Bila Tserkva, but he had always dreamed to become a landscape architect.
