In the morning of February 20, as the fighting subsided a little, Olexandr Khrapachenko and his brothers-in-arms were lying in hiding at the first barricade in Instytutska street. Somebody threw a Molotov cocktail and Sashko (Olexandr) lifted his head to look—and at this moment a sniper’s bullet hit him in the collarbone, went through his lungs and stuck in his liver. His death was instantaneous.
He was 26. He was born and lived in Rivne. There he finished school and graduated from the University. His classmates knew him as a heart and soul of any school event, a KVN [wit & humour competition] and student skit star. His team often won all sorts of competitions.
