“How did they get through!!” I yelled as I paced the hallway in our infirmary. I hadn’t been able to calm down since the attack. No one would look at me and DeAngelo was the only one brave enough to stay in the same room as me.
“I really don’t know. I have Kendric looking into as we speak,” DeAngelo said quietly. I know it wasn’t his fault completely; I shouldn’t have let my guard down. But DeAngelo was supposed to make sure there were no openings at our border. There should have been no way for Niko or anyone to get that far into our pack without being noticed.
