Gage POV:
Ember had told me she would be here shortly, but it had been almost an hour. I hadn’t heard anything from her or Kendric. In the distance a wolf howled, whoever it was, was heartbroken. It was such a powerful howl it even had my wolf whining and gave me an uneasy feeling. DeAngelo and I just looked at each other, we would need to find out who it was and see if there was anything we could do to help them through it.
“DeAngelo, has Kendric checked in with you lately?” I was starting to get worried. “No, Alpha.” I didn’t want to mind link Ember, not yet, I was trying to give her a little space; I didn’t want to make her feel like a prisoner as she calls it.
Kendric, where are ya’ll. Ya’ll should have been here already.
