“It will have to wait! I need to protect my pups!” I yelled at him as I pushed him out of my way. My wolf had found a new reason to stay alive and alert. Our pups. Our mate was gone but we still had our pups. We might not have been able to protect her, but I will die before I let something happen to them. I won’t fail again, no matter what. I stomped off across the clearing toward the pack house, before breaking out in a run and shifting. I wasn’t sure where they were at, but my wolf would be able to catch their scent and find them.
Even with Niko dead, I knew there would be more threats. More wolves, witches and vampires that would come after my babies for their power. They would either want to take them and use them for their own twisted plans or they would want them dead
