I quickly jumped back on all fours and bounded towards the hospital door as a pain shot through me. With no other wolves around me I knew that it meant something—or someone—was hurting Ember. As I rounded the corner at the end of the hall to head towards Ember’s room, I smelt him. Fuckin’ Niko. He’s here. I pushed myself to run faster.
