**Gage POV**
It’s been one week since Ember had the pups. One week since Niko took her and tried to take our pups. One week since my beautiful mate has been on life support. I haven’t left her side once. When Jaylynn and Dr. Clearwater came out of the operating room, I knew it was bad. Neither of them wanted to look at me. Ember lost a lot of blood and due to the circumstances, her wolf hadn’t been strong enough to heal her any, in fact over the last few days it feels like her wolf is getting weaker.
She has tubes running from everywhere and looks like a pin cushion. I hate it. It feels hard to breathe without her. I’ve kept the pups in the room with us the whole time. I want them close in case she wakes up. No one thinks she is going to make it through this, but I know how strong Ember
