"Thank God it's Friday. Finally, I can lay down in my bed. I can wake up late. I can enjoyably cook and eat my breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I can watch my favorite Korean Dramas while eating my favorite junk food." Ava smiled hearing what Denisse have said. She wanted to laughed because her friend is really imagining the things she wanted to do this weekend. "Don't count on it. You knew, we knew that it comes only once in a blue moon." Denisse frowned on Ava's words. "Oh come on, Avayah! We should rest. It was really a hectic week for us. Delivery there, delivery here. Dissection there, dissection here. Injection here, injection there. My hands are already numb. My back is aching. My whole body shouts for a rest.  Give us a break, Doctor!" Ava giggled on Denisse exaggerated words. "Can you stop a dog's labor? Can a cat stitch herself? Can a horse dissect himself? Can a cow deliver her baby by herself?" Denisse rolled her eyes, Ava is right. They don't have the time to stop working because they are on a veterinarian clinic. Just like in humans, for animals, every minute counts too. Avayah, Ava to her family and friends, Doctor Ava to her patients. She's a Veterinarian Doctor at Zoophilist Clinic. She established the clinic right after she graduated and immediately gained popularity from animal owners because of her love for pets and her "magic" as what Denisse have called it. Denisse, Ava's assistant s***h secretary s***h bestfriend. She was originally a nurse but because of her love of pets too, she decided to work with Ava. When she saw that the clinic was hiring, she immediately applied. Ava accepted Denisse right away because she saw Night already liked her on their first meeting. "Night? Where are you?" Denisse said and after a few seconds, a large black wolf went out from her room. "Look at Night, she's also tired." Denisse said while rubbing Night's fur who is yawning and then, lay on the floor and closed her eyes. Ava sighed. She's also tired but she can't ignore animals who needed their help. She looks at Denisse and Night who were laying side by side on the floor. "Okay! Since there's no scheduled operations and appointments this weekend, you two can enjoy a two days vacation." Ava saw how Denisse and Night's face shine brightly. They both go to each side of Ava giving her a hug. "Thank you, Doctor!" Ava rolled her eyes hearing Denisse words. "But..." Ava looked at Denisse with a raised brow. "What if there's an emergency conception or an accident or..." Denisse wasn't able to finish her words because the door of the clinic opens and a family of three enter. Night immediately smelled them and when she's sure that they are safe, she went back to her room. The father and the mother looked at Night intently and they were sure that the wolf is something else but for now, their child comes first. "I'm sorry but we badly needed help." The lady said carrying a sleeping baby boy who Ava thinks is having a high grade fever because of the redness of the child's face. "We're just passing by when he vomits and we can't see any other clinic here. We know that this is an animal clinic but we really needed help." The man said with a worried face. "Please let him lay here." Denisse hurriedly ushered the mother to the one of the beds inside. Ava gets her stethoscope and a thermometer. She approaches the child, put the thermometer under his armpit, and check his vitals. "Can you tell me what happened?" Ava said looking at the mother. "Before we left home, he said that he's not feeling well. We thought he's just making it up because he didn't want to come with us. The whole day, he was busy playing with his friends so we thought he's already fine but along the way going home, he vomited a few times." The mother said holding her child's hand. "Okay, for now I'll incorporate a dextrose for rehydration. I will also extract blood and get a urine sample to be tested in a laboratory not far from here. We needed the tests so we will know the source of his vomiting and fever. If it's okay with you to stay here for at least twenty fours hours..." Ava wasn't able to finish her words because both the father and the mother spoke. "We will do anything you say." After Ava hooked the dextrose on the child's hand, she extracted blood and got urine sample. "What is his name?" Ava asked the mother so she can put the label on the samples she collected. "It's Draco, Draco Smith." The mother answered. "Please do wait for the results. It will only take them twenty to thirty minutes to finish testing it." Denisse nodded and got the samples from Ava and immediately went out and rode her car. "I'm really sorry for the disturbance we brought. It's just that, we really don't know where should we go a while ago. He's just too precious to us. He's actually our second. His elder brother is already eighteen when we had him." Ava smiled when the mother willingly told her their story. "It's okay, no worries." Ava said looking at the mother with her sweet smile. "By the way, I'm Ella and my husband's is Neo." Ella said introducing herself to Ava then, offers a handshake where the latter gladly accepted. "I'm Ava." After a while, Neo enters the clinic again after talking to his eldest son informing what happened. "What did your son said?" Ella asked looking at Neo. "He wanted to go here but because of the pestering rouges, he can't leave." Ella looked at Neo and the latter understood it. "I mean pestering dogs." Neo sighed because of his carelessness but thankfully, Ava is busy checking his son. "Tell him not to worry too much. We're in good hands." Ella looked at Ava busy checking her child's vital signs again.
