Chapter 10

"Kill them all!" Jakobe said angrily.

"Yes, Alpha!" The warriors of the Timber Wolf Pack answered all at once.

And a bloody fight started.

"Avayah..." Night's voice entered the subconscious mind of Ava.

"Who are you?" Ava said trying to recognize the voice she heard.

"My true name is Nala but you've named me Night." Night answered.

"Night!? You can talk!?" Ava said not believing what Night said.

"You will know everything but, for now your safety comes first." Night said that made Ava remembered why she lost her consciousness.

"Oh my gosh! Night, there were wolves here. Jakobe, Malcolm, all of them turned into wolves. We were surrounded then, wait! This is only a dream, right? I'm just dreaming. When I wake up, I'm at the clinic, treating my patients, talking to Denisse, and playing with you. This is just a dream." Ava said wanting to really believe her words.

"You're not dreaming, Avayah. Everything you saw, everything you heard was all true. They are humans shifting into wolves. Time will come that when you're ready, you and I will become one and be one of them." Night said that made Ava's head ached and her body trembled.

"Me? You? Wolf? Oh come on, Night. You're joking, right?" Ava said imagining herself turning into a wolf.

"I'm coming. You should wake up. She's waiting for you." Night said that made Ava furrowed her forehead.

"Who's waiting for me?" Ava asked but Night didn't answer anymore.

In s snap of a finger, Ava's consciousness came back but she wanted to sleep again because of the chaos she's seeing outside the car. Even if she did not want to believe, she called Night through her mind.

"Night, where are you? Please hurry." Ava said while making sure that the lock of the car doors are locked.

"Mate! Mate!" Thunder excitedly said that made Jakobe smiled.

"Finally, you already felt the connection." Jakobe said.

"You're mate is not my mate. You have a human mate, I have a wolf mate and she's nearing." Thunder said that made Jakobe creased his forehead.

"What are you talking about?" Jakobe said but before Thunder could answer, both of them were sent to the ground.

"Alpha!" Malcolm said but because he was occupied with the rouges attacking him, he can't go to his Alpha to help.

Jakobe was pinned down by five rouges. One on his head, two on each of his hand and two on each of his feet.

"Look what you have done!?" Jakobe said angrily.

"Me? What did I do? I'm just enjoying the smell of my mate." Thunder said still sniffing the air but because there was a rouge on their head, the smell of his mate was replaced by the smell of the rouge. Thunder angrily growled but to their dismay, more rouges pinned them down.

"Where are they coming from?" Jakobe said trying to free himself but to his disappointment, he can't move.

All of a sudden, they all heard and loud howl. The rouges and Jakobe's pack felt a powerful aura surrounding the forest.

Finally, because the rouges were distracted, Jakobe and Thunder were able to free themselves from the rouges and sent them on the different parts of the forest.

"I'm coming." Ava puffed the air she's been holding on her lungs while waiting for Night's words.

"You can really talk? And I can really hear you?" Ava wanted to laugh because of amazement.

"Jakobe turned into a wolf. Night can talk. I can hear him. This is really insane." Ava said still not believing on the things that are happening and the things that have happened.

Ava, while waiting for Night, glued her eyes on the car's floor because she don't want to see what's happening outside. Even if she heard a loud howl just outside the car, she didn't tried to look so when Night destroyed the car's door to get Ava, she screamed.

"Avayah! It's me." Ava finally looked at her wolf but was surprised seeing the appearance of Night.

"Is that you, Night?" Ava said while extending her hand on Night's fur.

"Your eyes? You have fangs?" Ava said feeling a little fear seeing Night's sharp teeth.

"Everything will be explained later. We need to go now." Night said and bring her body down so Ava could climb her back.

Ava was hesitant first but she felt safe because it was Night, her wolf and Ava knew that Night will not hurt her.

"Hold tight." Night said when Ava was already at her back.

Night looked at where Thunder was standing. Ava did the same with Jakobe.

"Mate, we will see each other soon. For now, be safe." Night said through the mind link.

"Everything is new to me. My mind is full of confusions right now because things happened in just a night and a day. I do know you can hear me. Please keep safe until I understand everything." Ava said while looking at Jakobe's wolf form.

Night readied herself and when she's sure that Ava was safe at her back, she immediately run away from the place.

"You heard that? You heard that? I have my mate. I have my mate." Jakobe wanted to cover his own ears so as not to hear Thunder's singing.

"Alpha!" Malcolm said that brought back Jakobe and Thunder to their present situation.

"You have already met your mate and my mate is on the process of recognizing me as her mate but we have a battle to end." Jakobe said and looked at the rouges who are on their fighting stance again.

"Yeah! For my mate! For my beautiful mate!" Thunder said that stood tall and looked angrily to the rouges.

"Tell to whoever your Alpha is, I already met my mate!" Jakobe rolled his eyes hearing what Thunder said.

And the fight between the Timber Wolf Pack and the rouges started again.

"Is everyone ready?" They're coming. The chosen one is coming." Nevaeh said excitedly.

"Yes, my Queen." Nyla answered.

"This will be the start. King Aziel, Queen Jianna, I can finally fulfill my promise to you." Nevaeh said looking at the sky.
