Chapter 11

"Ava!?" Kenji and Rosalia hurriedly run towards their daughter ang hugged her tightly.

"Where have you been? Where did you stay? Have you eaten? What happened to you?" Rosalia continuously asked Ava while crying.

"I'm sorry, Mom, Dad. I'm sorry." Ava said crying too.

"My gosh, Ava!?" Ander, Maria, and Jacques were relieved seeing her again. They came from the barn and once they heard that Ava was already home, they immediately went inside the house.

"I'm sorry. I am really sorry." Ava said and begun to cry out loud.

"What is happening, Night?" Ava asked through her mind.

"You will know and understand everything in time." Night said that made Ava deeply sighed.

"After telling your parents we're leaving..." Night wasn't able to finish her words because Ava held her fur tightly because of what she heard.

"Wait? What? Why are we leaving? Where are we going?" Ava said with her confused look.

"It's the best for everyone. Your safety, their safety..." Again, Ava interrupted Night.

"What do you mean? I am safe with them, with Denisse, with my patients, with Dad and Mom, with everyone." Ava said with firmness in her voice.

"Avayah, you are different from them, we are different from them. You need to prepare yourself because there will come a time that many will hunt you. We will come back when you're ready but for now, we should leave to make everyone safe." Night said.

"I really don't know what are you talking about Night." Ava said and tears started to well up from her eyes.

"Trust me, Avayah. I am here to protect you." Night said but Ava's tears continuously flowed from her eyes.

"Here, drink this." Rosalia said giving a cup of calming tea to her daughter.

Ava's eyes were really swollen. She's been crying ever since Night told her that they had to leave and when she saw her parents, the thought of leaving them made her cry again.

"What happened?" Kenji asked looking at her daughter but Ava couldn't utter a word because she feels that when she started talking, she will cry again.

"It's okay. You should rest first." Rosalia said and ushered her daughter to her room.

"I love you so much, Mom." Ava said that made Rosalia smiled.

"And we love you more." Rosalia said and she kissed her daughter's forehead.

"Is everyone okay?" Jakobe asked his warriors.

"Yes, Alpha!" The warriors answered simultaneously.

"Clean this mess then, we will leave." Jakobe said and looked from where Ava and Night went.

"Malcolm, I need the best trackers in the pack. I need to know everything about Ava and the wolf that got her." Jakobe said and Malcolm nodded.

"She's my mate." Thunder said.

"Are you really sure that she's your mate? How come that we have different mates?" Jakobe said with a bewildered look.

"I don't know too. Maybe..." Thunder said making Jakobe furrowed his forehead.

"Maybe what?" Jakobe asked.

"Maybe, we could asked the pack doctor if he can separate us." Thunder said that made Jakobe rolled his eyes.

"You're unbelievable." Jakobe said.

"It was just a suggestion." Thunder said.

After a few hours, Timber Wolf Pack left the place without any trace of a bloody fight.

"Night?" Ava can't sleep. She's just lying on her bed with her closed eyes but her mind is full of questions.

"Yes?" Night answered.

"Can we just stay? You said you're here to protect me. Can you protect them too?" Ava said and her eyes started to well up again.

"We can't. We have to leave." Night said that made Ava cry again.

After a few hours of crying, sobbing, and crying again, Ava finally fell into slumber but she woke up hearing loud noises outside. She immediately got up from bed and looked outside the window. Her eyes went wide because she saw wolves just like the ones who run after her the other night.

"Night!" Ava shouted.

"Just stay there and don't do anything." Night said.

"Where are you? Where's Dad and Mom?" Ava said while running outside her room.

"I told you not to..." Night wasn't able to finish her words because the wolves outside started to destroy something that was surrounding the house.

Ava run towards her mom that loss her consciousness when she saw the rouges. Her dad was beside her mom who was looking outside, fear evident on his face.

"Where's Ander, Maria, and Jacques?" Ava asked.

"They're at the barn. They are safe there. Those wolves are after us. But, as long as the shield is intact, we'll be safe." Night said.

Ava needed to make her decision now because the shield started to have cracks.

"Dad?" Ava called her dad but he didn't say a word.

"Dad!?" Ava repeated her words with a loud tone.

"Ava, are we going to die?" Kenji said looking at her daughter.

"No, Dad! Listen to me. Always remember that I love you. You and Mom were the best blessing heavens gave me. I will leave to protect you but I will come back." Ava said that made Kenji looked at her seriously.

"No! You're not going anywhere." Kenji said with firmness in his voice.

"Always take care of yourselves. I promise, I will come back." Ava wanted to cry but she have to be strong. Her parents will be safe once they are gone.

Ava looked at Night. They nodded at each other. Night went down so Ava could ride her back.

"I love you, Dad. This is not a goodbye but, I will see you soon." Ava said then, Night hurriedly run towards the forest and the wolves run after them.

Kenji was left crying, hugging his wife tightly.

"Please, take care of my daughter." Kenji said. His tears are continuously flowing from his eyes.

"Hold tight!" Night said while running as fast as she can because the rouges are trying their best to catch up.

"They're nearing." Ava said and then screamed after a rouge tried to bite Night's tail.

"We're almost there." Night said.

"What is that?" Ava asked when she saw a dark hole not far from them.

"That's where we are going." Night said and before Ava could argue, Night entered and they disappeared together with the hole leaving the rouges disoriented.
