Chapter 04: Window

"Olivia," Elias was shocked to see me in front of their door. "What brought you here? Parker hasn't come yet," he added. "I'm not here for Parker, Elias. I'm here for your brother," I told him directly. "Sebastian? Why? Did he do something bad again?" "Yes, he did. Your brother trespassed in my room last night," I answered. "He… what? Why would he do that?" I arched my brows. "That's the same question I have, Elias. Why the hell would your brother come to my room, watch me sleep, and warn me to not call another man's name in my sleep?" "He did that?" "You heard me right, Elias. So, where is he?" I asked impatiently. "I… uhm. Let me handle this, Liv. I will talk to him," he said, but I was already impatient to let him do that. So, I pushed their front door wider and invited myself inside. I walked to their living room, but he wasn't there. I moved to the next room. It was their dining hall and he wasn't there, either. The kitchen was in the next room, but still, he wasn't there. "Where is his room?" I turned to face Elias again, who was just following him. But he shook his head. "Liv, leave it to me. I will talk to my brother and will ask him to apologize." "I don't need his apology, Elias. I need an explanation," I told him, and continued walking through their hallway. "Which one is his room?" Elias was still hesitant to tell me, but when I showed him how serious and pissed I was. He eventually gave in. "The last door." "Thank you," I said before heading to Sebastian's room. Reaching his door, I knocked three times but no one answered. "He's probably still sleeping," Elias said. "If he was, he would probably have heard me knocking. And for sure, he would have opened this door annoyed," I said. "Parker does that most of the time. This one won't work for me. I know he's awake and just doesn't want to open this," I added, slamming my palm on the wooden door. "Sebastian didn't really want to talk to anyone in the morning," Elias' reasoned that made me roll my eyes. "It's nearly noon already, Elias. Stop saving your brother and let him solve his own problems," I told him. He was about to say something when Sebastian's door opened. I immediately crossed my arms to my chest and arched my brow, ready to blow fire on him. "Come in," Sebastian said, opening his door enough for me to get past. "Sebastian," Elias called, his tone suddenly changed. It became a bit serious and authoritative. "It's fine. I'll handle this," Sebastain answered his brother. I was halfway to his door but I stopped when Elias spoke again. "It's not time yet, Sebastian." "I won't do such a thing, Elias. You don't have to worry," he replied before pulling me inside his room and shutting his door closed. "What do you want?" He asked, walking back to his big bed and sitting there. I stood in my spot near the door. I cleared my throat. "Why were you in my room last night?" "I already answered that," he answered, boredly. He snatched his phone and started doing something on it. "To check on me? Why would you have to check on me?" I asked again. "Who's Tim?" He asked instead, lifting his eyes from his phone and looking straight into my eyes. He must have been really wearing contacts last night because his eyes are now back to olive. "It's none of your business, Sebastian. Just answer my question," I answered, trying to grasp on the little patience I had left. "It's none of your business as well," he answered back. The f*****g audacity. "Really? Not my business when you were in my room late at night, watched me sleep, and had the audacity to warn me to not call another man's name? What the f**k in there is not my business?" "Just forget that it happened," he answered coldly this time. "Wow! You trespassed in my room and you have the guts to tell me that now?" I said, really frustrated now, but he just shrugged. "You know what? You're a f*****g creepy asshole!" I shouted when he didn't speak anymore. I stormed out of his room after that. "Liv," Elias called when I passed through him in the hallway. I stopped to face him and said, "Tell your asshole of a twin brother that I hope to not see his face anymore. Not in any part of our house, especially not in my room!" "Olivia!" He called again, but I was already out of their house. "f*****g asshole!" I kept on blurting as I walked my way to our house. I went in and ran straight to my room and the first thing I did inside was to check my windows; checking if both were locked and secure. I also kept the curtains pushed together. Screw the natural lights! I chose to spend the rest of my day inside my room. I only went out to eat lunch and I went back immediately after. Parker asked me if I was okay and I just answered him yes and that I was reading a new book , so he should not bother me. He followed. It was already dinner time when I went out again. And like usual, I helped mom with the dishes before heading back to my room. I read some more chapters in my book before deciding to sleep, but before that, I stood again to check my windows and my door. Locked. I am sure that I locked both. "Isn't the moon shining beautifully now?" I said and smiled widely. "It is," a guy from behind me answered. "But you look more beautiful than the moon," he added, and I cannot help but feel my cheeks heated. I turned to face him and my eyes immediately met his golden ones. I stared straight into it. "I love your eyes," I said. "I love yours, too." "Hmm… stop imitating my words," I told him. "I'm not. I just love everything about you," he said, and I cannot help but feel the butterflies in my stomach. "I love–" I stopped mid-sentence when my eyes suddenly opened. It was a dream. I sat on my bed and shook my shoulders. "Gross," I commented, recalling the scene in the dream. My room was only lit on the part of bed but the rest was all black, and when I heard a few tsk-ed, my heart raced. "W-who's there?" I asked, slowly reaching for my light switch above my headboard. "Parker?" I tried until I reached the switch and pressed it. "Sebastian?" I blurted when I saw him standing beside my open window. "You didn't lock your window again," he said, shaking his head. I am sure I locked my windows. I double checked that, but that damn window isn't my outmost concern now. I immediately stood up on my bed and went to him. "What are you doing here, again, Sebastian?" I asked, pushing his chest. "Didn't I tell you I didn't want to see your face again?" "I was just checking–" I cut him off. "Oh, please! Enough with that f*****g reason of you. I don't need your checking and what you are doing is trespassing!" I told him, but he just arched his brow. "Leave," I said, because I knew I would get nothing from this conversation. I'm just getting myself mad and frustrated by talking with this guy. "Leave and never come back or else I will call the cops on you," I warned. But he just smirked. My brow creased seeing him do that, but seeing his eyes caught my attention. His eyes are golden again. Like the guy I was talking with in my dream. "Remembering something?" He suddenly said and I was immediately pulled back to reality. I pushed him on his chest but he immediately caught my hand and put it on his chest. "Let go of me and leave," I told him, pulling my hand away from his hold. "I won't do that," he replied. "What the f**k is wrong with you?" I shouted. My voice was so loud that seconds later, I heard Parker knocking on my door. "Liv? Is there something wrong there?" He asked outside my room. I turned to my door and shook my head as if he could see me. "I-it's nothing, Parker," I said, turning back to face Sebastian, but he was no longer in front of me. "I… I was reading." I searched for him inside my room but he wasn't there. I then looked outside to find him there; both hands inside his pocket as he stood in our garden. He lifted his head before turning his back and started leaving. "Liv, open this," I heard Parker say, and after that I also heard the sound of an opening door. "What's happening there, Parker?" I heard dad asking him. I immediately closed my window and ran to my door to open it.
