It was good to laugh again even though I felt guilty for leaving Andy home alone. Chris dragged me out. He was right, I needed to do something to get away, even if it was for a couple of hours. Sitting at the bar, Chris, Jayme and I were enjoying some wings and conversation.
“I think we should schedule a vacation. We should go camping somewhere, somewhere relaxing and away from everything.” I said to them.
“I think that would be best for her. Get away from the town, help her heal.” Chris said.
“My parents still have that cabin. We could always go there. I just gotta call the chief and have him give me some time off. What about you Chris? Oh, wait, ha, all I gotta do is call daddy.” She grinned at him, making us laugh.
