Blurb

In the city that never sleeps, Ama Eze is just another face in the crowd—a quiet analyst at a high-end firm, haunted by family secrets and a life she never quite chose. But everything changes the night she crosses paths with a stranger wrapped in shadows and desire.

She only meant for it to be one night. A spark. A mistake. A man whose name she can’t forget, but whose face seems to vanish by morning.

Until he shows up in her office… as her new boss.

What begins as a clash of tempers quickly unravels into something darker. Ama starts seeing things—glowing eyes, whispers in mirrors, files no one was supposed to find. And Kyen, the man with the storm in his eyes, is more than he appears. Much more.

Marked by a mysterious symbol and stalked by a council of night-born beings, Ama is pulled into a hidden war between realms, where light is power, love is dangerous, and secrets can rewrite fate. As forbidden memories awaken, Ama must choose between the life she knows and the destiny that calls to her from the shadows.

Through stolen kisses, ancient curses, twisted betrayals, and the clash of two worlds, Ama will discover the truth behind her bloodline, the cost of desire, and the power that lives in the night.

But when the final eclipse falls and the stars remember her name—will she rise, or be consumed?

The stranger in the dark
The rain fell in sheets over the city of Elysian, washing the streets in a shimmering glow beneath flickering neon lights. Ama clutched her coat tighter as thunder rolled above, her heels clicking against the wet pavement like a metronome counting down to something she couldn’t name. She shouldn’t have stayed out this late. Not after the message. Not after the call that cut off mid-sentence. But the night had a voice tonight, and it whispered her name. She stepped into the nearest bar—a tucked-away place pulsing with dim jazz, velvet shadows, and whiskey-stained secrets. Her presence barely registered with the other patrons, lost in their drinks and desires. She ordered something strong and sat by the window, staring into the reflection of a woman she didn’t quite recognize. Then he walked in. Tall, soaked in rain, and wrapped in a dark presence that made her breath hitch. His eyes were the color of a storm—wild, waiting, electric. He looked like trouble that knew your name before you spoke it. And when his gaze landed on hers, she swore the room shifted. He didn’t smile. He simply walked toward her like he was already expected. “You’re late,” he said. Ama blinked. "Excuse me?" But he didn’t answer. He sat. Ordered. And leaned forward as if they’d known each other in another life. “I’m not supposed to be here,” he murmured, more to himself than her. “But something about you… calls.” The silence that followed was heavy, humming. And Ama, for reasons she would only understand much later, didn’t leave.
