10 Years Later
The sun was shining so brightly that I nearly couldn't see a single word on the pages I read. Not even wearing sunglasses helped, or turning away from the sun. My last solution was to move under the marquis, but it was also so comfortable to sit in the sun. And I did promise to not move a muscle until they came around the corner again.
What I wouldn't do for them.
Suddenly I heard running footsteps, and I turned my head to watch my two boys running after one another. Richard, who recently had turned 8, and Joseph, who couldn't wait for his 6th birthday, laughed and screamed when they tried to finish first. But it was Richard who reached my chair first and stuck out his tongue at his little brother, who immediately gave him an angry look.
