I heard her slow and calm breaths that confirmed my suspicion that she had fallen asleep. Her petite head rested safely on my chest, and I was content just holding her in my arms. I loved her, I really did. We haven't known each other for that long but everything that has happened has only brought us closer together. Now I couldn't picture my life without her.
