Chapter 16- Asking his friends for help

Author note: Readers, I'm just going to make Chen wu ‘POV' quick so the story can continue on.

Chen wu POV:

I never intended to go to that extreme to make An li or should I say my wife now to faint. All I wanted was for her to agree to the contract, so my parents can leave me be. And now that I have a wife they can finally get their wish and I can get mine.

If my parents want an heir then I'll give them one. I'll keep impregnating my wife until the day she has one, and I'll divorce her then go back to being the man I was. I know what I did to her was wrong, but she was tempting that I couldn't control it. Guess the other side of me using women as toys never left me, call me an a**hole all you want; but it's the need of a man.

Then all I knew was that she stopped moving, so I had my lawyer who I knew way back in highschool. He's the son of my dad's lawyer, he also went to the same college as my childhood friend Chun He and I. Had him call another friend who is a doctor, he owns a hospital. It's not that far from my company. I'll say 30 minutes away, I could drive there but it's a hassle.

When he arrived I had him check on my wife making sure nothing happened to her or her body. I'm not about to find another women to replace her, I don't need any other greedy women to be Ms. Wei. I worked too hard to make her agreed to my terms, when he told me that she had irregular breathing, I couldn't believe it ‘what happened to her'.

We all heard her scream out of nowhere, we saw her got up so quickly and no doubt she has that face the face that holds pure fear of something. My gut tells me someone must have done something, but ‘what'? I'll just have to wait and see how the guys find out more, maybe I'll phone my other buddy who resides in Italy, but due to work business he went to Paris.

I got up from my seat head straight to my wife to calm her, she just went to another round of panic. I told her that it was ok and that it was just me. And I told her that I'm not gonna do anything to her.

After thinking that she will be ok I took slow steps to her, but everything turn around she start saying sorry and have that fear again, bursting another round of tears.

I told her that everything will be fine and made way to her putting my arms around her, rubbing her back luring her back to sleep. Didn't work as plan, so I had Wang lei to check on her again, she declined it I look at her telling her that I just want to make sure that she was fine and she only nod. After putting the mask back on her, I had her go back to sleep, but she wouldn't and started tearing up again.

Thinking of a way to make her go back to sleep I told her that we will stay with her, She took her mask off saying that we have to promise her, and we did but my promise was for her only to hear. I whisper into her ear “I promise my wife, now go to sleep".

I got up from the couch was going to lay her back down, but she grab my suit saying she doesn't want to lay down and ask if she can sleep in my arms.

Look at her and decided that it will be ‘ok'. I help her by rubbing her back again this time it worked but before she fell asleep she said ‘sorry'. I know the reason already why she say sorry, and I only told her that ‘it's ok' then all we heard was her breathing from the mask she's wearing.

We currently still In my office talking about how we want to find this man. Thinking about if I really want to call him, I need every sources as possible.

Smirking up at them. “Xun wu, see if you can call him at Paris and get Chun He on the phone too. If I want to find her ex I need all sources, he may know what happened to her".

The others look at their boss and they all hold a smirk on their faces. Knowing where he's getting at, Xun wu nod.

“I'll call sir Chun He, now then!"

Taking out his phone he dial Chun he, right away and on the third ring he picked.

“Hello! Xun wu you need something".

“It's me Chun He, think you got a minute".

“I do, why".

“Think you can drop by in 5 minutes"

“Let me check on my PA and see what I got on the schedule give me 2 minutes".

2 minutes pass. “I'm free as of now ".

“See you in 5 then".

“See ya".

Checking on his soon to be wife, her face still have tear stain and a bit tear drop falling. At least she's sleeping soundly. 5 minutes pass and the door to his office open.

“Chen wu! what is it that you need? and why can't you say it over the phone?"

Chun He, froze looking all over the room, like his buddy is have some kind party in his office.

“What's going on in here are you having a party in here or what?"

Walking around the couch he saw Chen wu, and someone in his arms sleeping with a mask on.

“Who's that In your arms? And why does she have a mask on."

“Chill dude, or you'll have a hard time breathing too".

The other three just laugh only.

“Remember my secretary?"

“Yeah, I remember her the one who is shy and nervous everytime she talk and stutter herself, that secretary what about her?"

“Not only a secretary but also my wife now".

“WHAT? WHEN? HOW? WHERE? WHO?

All four. “Dude quiet down or you'll wake her up again, do you know how hard it was to put her back to sleep".

“You know it's not nice saying that to a grown woman and she's not a baby".

“The reason why you are here is I need your source".

“For? And why?".

“About her and why, is because you'll see. Xun wu get her profile to Chun He".

“Yes sir".

Handing An li profile to Chun He, he open it looking through it.

3 minutes pass.

“So, you mean to tell me all you got was the same profile, but with a little more info that listed her boyfriend but no name. And with friends and parents only. Is that possible not finding a name."

Xun wu: “I had tried everything, I even went to her old highschool and college and asked around, but no one seems to know. I even had our people from other country to look but it came to the same thing".

“So you want me to help you find this guy, even if you find him, what are you going to do and why?".

“If you want to know sit down because this is a long story".

Listen to his buddy he took a seat on the opposite side of him and An-li. The others came around and sit by the side of the couch. Adjusting An li a little bit to get her comfortable.

“Dude why don't you just put her down".

”Would love to, and if I do she would wake up and start crying again and go haywire, but anyway I'll start from the beginning so listen carefully".

Chen wu, explained everything from how his parents gave him the option of an arranged marriage or choose a bride, then to how he picked An li as his wife, to the marriage contract, to him kissing her and witnessed her with pure fear in her eyes, to forcing her to this marriage, for an heir because his parents demands an heir, to her fainting and to her screaming earlier and lastly to him being here.

“Damn, you went to that really extreme to get her to agree".

“You shouldn't be talking about me, wait until it's your turn and when your parents ask you for an heir also".

“I'm just saying, couldn't their be another way than your way"

“Oh! you have no idea I gave her so many time and yet all she say is the same thing ‘i need more time' that's why I had to get her to agree fast".

“Ok!"

"So, what do you say”.

“Sure, I'll help if it's to help your wife then I will"

Xun wu: “Sir! I can't get him on the phone"

“Chun he, think you could get him on the phone".

Waiting to see if they can get the other person on the phone, Chen wu is looking at his wife studying her. Looking at her eyes he sees that her eyes are going back and forth like she's having a bad dream again. Chun he, came back with news but is it good or bad.

“Well I got him on, but he couldn't talk for long. He said he had urgent business to take care of, though he said he'll call once he's done".

“I'll give him more information once he call".

Wang lei: “Chen wu, when do you want t....."

N-no more......p-please.... s-sorry I'm....i-i'm s-sorry.....I w-won't do it a-again..... P-please let go of m-me....sob...s-stop it's m-my......( grabbing onto Chen wu suit ) h-help me."

“Chen Wu, you have to wake her up if she doesn't she'll take too much oxygen from the mask and it will burn her lungs".

Right on que he was shaking An li up.

“An li, get up it's me Chen wu. You are okay no one is going to hurt you so get up. We promised you that we will be here for you, so open your eyes and see that we are still here like we promise you".

Slowly opening her eyes she turn to ook at the guys and it's exactly like they promised they were with her. Turn to look up at Chen wu, when he smile at her all she felt was happy, but fear the most she buried her head inside his chest and let out everything.

“I-i'm scared.... sobbing......Chen W-wu, i-i'm scared".

“Shhhhh, it's ok! I'm here with you remember I told you I'll stay with you".

“Sob....Chen wu, i-i want to go h-home! t-take me home.... P-please."

( with shaky hands she grab his shirt again, it gives her comfort holding onto something. )

“Ok! I'll take you home."

Taking the mask off, He look at the others and their face hold shock. They never saw him like that before ‘caring' but to them it may just be acting as if he care for her.

“Remember what we talked about".

All four: “Of course".

Wang lei: “When you want it".

“When you can get it".

“Alright".

“Well, I'll leave too I have more stuff to do at my company".

Wang lei and Zi Rui: “Us too' you know I left in the middle of operation and I have to go check on the patient. Me too, I have two client's that left me with their paperwork.

Xun wu: I'll stay and finish up work here and see if I can get more information.

Chun He: “Chen wu, I'll help you where is An li's

office at I'll grab her stuff for you.

“I'll head down with you too and we can go from there".

All of them nob at each, and went their separate ways.
