I dismissed the small crowd there and told Lucian to get a pack warrior to help him move the body away from there and call her family to meet me. Then I walked down to my mother’s room and told her the news. She was shocked and rushed to sit down immediately. I couldn’t blame her, the news was heartbreaking and it was obvious she had not died of natural causes. My mother was traumatized and Celeste had to care for both Chase and Rue for the day.
I met with Iris’ family: her father, Anthony and mother, Ruby were old farmers and I felt so much pity for them. Her older sister, Alexis couldn’t stop crying and screaming “Is this how we’re all going to live now, Alpha?!” and her brother, Louis spoke for the family, accepting my condolences and promises to continue investigations
