RIVERA’S POV
My eyes met Zayn’s as he expressed a visible shock. He looked even more handsome than the last time I saw him, and mature. I could not let anyone know I recognized him.
I took a bow, spotting a fake smile and left with Addison and the children. Sage cheered on with Leon and Leah and in that moment I was thankful that she didn’t recognize me.
“Wow, Rivera, the children did great!” Addison exclaimed, snapping me out of my thoughts.
“Yes, yes…they did” I replied absentmindedly.
“What’s wrong with you Rivera? You don’t look…yourself. Normally you would be cheering for the children but you’re so gloomy” Addison asked.
“I’m fine Addison, I just remembered something. I’m definitely excited for the children! They did so well!” I responded.
