A month had passed since my father’s death and the pack members had begun to adjust to the change. My mother could not still adjust and looking at her teary eyes as she tried to appear strong, broke my heart even further.
I spent evenings with her talking and taking strolls around the pack house. She admitted that she had been going through a rough time trying to adjust so I had to help out.
My brothers took turns spending time with her whenever they were not working around the pack house. Over the weeks, she began to adjust and care for Chase alongside Celeste.
