BURIED ALIVE
Amara and Jalen were the kind of couple everyone envied. Not because they had money - they didn't. They lived in a small hut at the edge of the village. But they had peace. Jalen was a carpenter, Amara sold herbs at the market. They laughed a lot. They were happy.
Everything changed the day Jalen was called to the palace.
The King needed a new carpenter to build furniture for the royal chambers. Jalen was the best with his hands in the whole village, so they chose him. Amara was so proud. She packed his clothes and told him, "Go, make us proud."
In the palace, Jalen worked hard. He was quiet, respectful, handsome. And that's what ruined everything.
Princess Zara saw him.
She was the youngest princess, spoiled, used to getting anything she wanted. She had never been told no. When she saw Jalen, she decided he would be hers.
At first it was small things. "Jalen, bring water to my chambers." "Jalen, fix my chair." "Jalen, stay late."
Jalen obeyed. You don't say no to a princess.
But then she wanted more. She told him she loved him. Jalen knelt down and said, "My princess, I am honored, but I am a married man. I love my wife."
That was his mistake.
Zara's love turned into obsession. And obsession turned into cruelty.
She called him one night and said, "If you truly want to serve the palace, prove it. That village wife of yours... she is holding you back. A man who works for royalty cannot be tied to a common herb seller. Get rid of her."
Jalen was shaking. "My princess, I cannot..."
She smiled coldly. "Then you will lose your job. And your family will never work in this kingdom again. Is that what you want for her? For a poor life? Bury your old life. Bury her. Then you can be free to stay here with me."
Fear is a terrible thing. Jalen was weak. He was afraid of the princess, afraid of losing everything. So that night, he went home and told Amara, "Let's go for a walk in the forest, like we used to."
Amara, who trusted him with her whole life, followed him.
In the deep forest, he had already dug a shallow grave. With tears in his eyes and his hands shaking, he pushed his own wife inside. Amara was screaming, begging, calling his name. "JALEN! PLEASE! IT'S ME!"
He covered her with sand. And he ran. He ran and never looked back.
Amara thought she would die there. The sand was over her face. She could not breathe.
But God did not leave her.
A hunter named Kian was passing through the forest. He heard a faint cry. He followed the sound and saw fresh soil moving. He dug with his bare hands until he pulled out a woman covered in sand, barely alive.
He took her to his cabin, gave her water, cleaned her wounds, stayed up for three nights while she had fever.
When Amara finally opened her eyes, she saw Kian.
He didn't ask her what happened at first. He just said, "You are safe now."
For weeks, Amara stayed. Kian taught her how to use a bow, how to survive. Slowly, she told him her story. And slowly, her broken heart started to beat again - not for Jalen, but for this man who saved her without asking for anything.
She fell in love with Kian.
But at night, she still heard her own screams from that grave.
One day she told Kian, "I don't want to just survive. I want to go back. I want them to see that they did not kill me."
Kian looked at her and said, "Then we go back together. Not to beg. To get justice."
So they made a plan. Amara was not the weak herb seller anymore. She was a woman who had been buried alive and came back. And she was coming back to the palace - not as a victim, but as a storm.
The Princess thought she had buried a problem.
She had actually planted revenge.
