Leah’s POV
The phone rang, it was Kai, it’s 7pm. His race finished 5 hours ago, he arrived home 2 hours ago, and now he decides to call. I contemplated rejecting the call. But I knew we had to deal with this.
‘Hi’
‘Leah’
‘Before you start, I think it best we do this in person. Don’t you?’
‘Uh, Yeah, sure, ok, I’ll be ten minutes’
I hung up and waited.
He knocked on the door and that immediately set the tone. He never knocked.
I opened the door. He looked like s**t.
‘Hi’ he couldn't even look me in the eyes.
I shook my head and stepped aside. ‘Come in’ he looked around ‘She’s not here. She’ll be out all night’
‘Oh, ok’
I sat on the sofa, and he followed suit. Silence engulfed us and I could feel the rage building inside me. So here began the rant....
