Leah’s POV
After diner, I excused myself and said goodnight, I had thoroughly enjoyed my day but was now a little preoccupied with thoughts of Kai. When I got to my room, I checked my phone. I had a missed call, and gritted my teeth, knowing he had rung when he knew I wouldn’t be able to answer.
I woke up on Sunday morning and got ready for the day, I checked my phone and decided to give Kai a call, I needed to hear his voice, I needed reassurance, I was sending myself insane.

‘Morning’ he said sleepily ‘It’s early, are you ok?’
‘Yeah, I, um, I was just a little worried, you have been distant, is everything ok?’
‘No, I haven’t, your overthinking things Leah, honestly, we just missed each other’s call’
He brushed me off and I began to think maybe he was right.
