Leah’s POV
When I woke, I was in bed, still clothed in my yoga pants and hoodie. I could hear a commotion downstairs and I rushed up to check on Lucia.
I walked down the stairs and saw Kai and Lucia making an almighty mess in the kitchen cooking pancakes and my heart skipped a beat at how beautiful the image was.
‘Mumma’ Lucia cried ‘We made bweakfast for you’ she said proudly.
‘We were going to bring it to you in bed’ Kai smiled shyly ‘but seeing as you are here, you can eat together’
‘You not going to join us?’ I asked, not sure if I was over stepping.
‘I’m late for work, and I have to get showered and changed, but another time’ he smiled.
I looked at my watch and realised how late it was ‘s**t, Kai, I am so sorry!’
‘Sit’ Lucia repeated.
