Leah’s POV
I could see him standing in the doorway. Sky had spoken to him, but he seemed to have lost his voice. He had said nothing for longer than was naturally bearable and it was starting to freak me out.
‘Kai?’
Sky said for the third time trying to get his attention. He shook his head and looked back at me and then to Sky.
‘Yeah, sorry, could I, um, come in?’ he asked somewhat nervously.
Sky looked over at me for confirmation, and I nodded. She stepped to the side, and he walked in apprehensively.
