Chapter 4:Angel

Leonard's POV

The next morning, I got up and was about to prepare for school, with hopes of driving with my brother as we usually do, but getting downstairs I realized he was just about to exit

"Hei bro

Going without me"?

"Uh... you're still on your PJs which means you haven't even had your bath yet, which means I'll hav to wait for another extra hour for you to get ready in Leo's style, he said that part with a wink

I have something important to take care of this morning before getting to school, not to worry, once you are ready, give me a call and I'll be back to pick you"

I simply shrugged and went back upstairs

I felt lazy all of a sudden and my head was bounding like Its breaking into a thousand pieces

I found my body falling involuntary on the bed as I dived into a deep slumber.

Three hours later, I heard my phone beeping the message tone, I opened my eyes sluggishly to check it out, seeing the time, reality struck me as I jumped from the bed and ran to the bathroom

I did my business hurriedly and got dressed in a flash, I hurried my pace downstairs as I started dialing Bash on my way out

Bash's POV

After promising to come back for Leo, I entered the car and drove out of the garage, I just drove out of the gates and my mind started pondering on everything evil

Leo is home alone, and if anything happens to him, I'll have the school as my alibi, how do I get this done once and for all, I don't know of any hit man I can call immediately call,

Oh! Thinking about that, I remember someone owes me a favour, being a Williams comes with so many benefits, like being able to communicate with the law enforcement agencies and getting them to treat your case with urgency.

**Flash back **

One fateful evening, I decided not to drive because the evening was warm and peaceful,

I took a stroll to get a treat from McDonald's

On my way back, I took sight of a scene

I saw this hoodlum being cuffed and the police were trying to get him to enter the car, he was struggling which made the police officers use force on him

He was yelling and cursing, as he lifted his eyes in the opposite direction, he saw me and started crying, his eyes reflected defeat and sorrow, he mouthed "please help me" and I was confused but touched,

I crossed over to where the police officers were holding him and spoke to them,

"officers please what is his offense"

"He bullied a young lady and stole her wallet, we were called immediately and when we tried approaching him to return the wallet he threw a punch almost knocking out my colleague"

I looked at him and he said, I needed the money to pay a debt

What's your name?

Max he replied

Well max, you have to obey the law given that you are a defaulter

I will see you at the station in the morning, he nodded and stopped struggling, I gestured for him to enter the car with them and he did obediently.

The following morning, I went to the station as promised and I arranged his bail, he returned the wallet he stole and I offered to clear his debt without a second thought

Couple of months later,

I ran into him in a club

He was seated at the right hand side of a notorious mafia and deadliest drug dealer, he looked so young and innocent, as if he had just been recruited, no wonder the police didn't have anything on him when he was caught

I had thought he was just a common thief who just stole out of desperation of settling a debt

Max saw me and lowered his gaze,

I immediately left the club, with such caliber of people,,I could smell trouble and I wanted no part of it

As I was about to open my car, a hand gripped me and I looked up to see max

"I know you have a lot of questions in your mind for me, but please don't ask, am Indebted to you, if you have any challenge, you can put a call across to me and I will return your favour"

He winks as if he's trying to make me understand what his lines meant

He slipped his hands into my jacket and brought out my phone, he tapped on it saving his number to my contacts and he returned the phone with a smile

No words left my mouth, I just stood in my spot looking at the lad who had just chosen a dangerous destiny for himself, some people just can't be saved, I thought to myself, I entered my car and zoomed off

**End of Flash back **

I haven't dial his number nor communicated with him since that night at the club, because I thought we belonged to different worlds, but here am I plotting my brother's demise, how different am I from max

Immediately the sane part of me started creeping in, I shut it out immediately before I change my mind

I brought out my phone and dialed Max

"Hei boss, I never thought you could ever call"

I loved the sound of boss

"well, you asked me to call if I ever need a favour, so that's what am doing"

"Say no more boss, what's the challenge"

I told him everything about Leonard and I and he silently listened

"So what do you want me to do about him"

I want him abducted and hidden until I receive my badge and get cleared as the best without opposition, I don't want him killed, just torture him a little so that he won't be too comfortable

I will act hero and get him released after my award, and that will add more credits to my name before the school and my parents

"Consider it done boss"

I smiled victoriously as I stepped on my pedal and zoomed off.

Third person's POV

Bash gave Max his house address where he is suppose to meet Leonard, he had asked Max to act as an Uber driver and once he enters the car, max can take up from there

As Leo dialed Bash, he picked up and told him he was finished and ready to be picked, Bash placed the call on hold and immediately placed a Call to max telling him to be on the move

He activated his call with Leo

"Am so sorry bro, am in the middle of something and I wont be able to Come pick you, but am sending an Uber to you right now, just wait outside OK"?

The Moment Leo stepped out, he bumped into his pregnant neighbor

and he immediately grabbed her before she could lose her balance completely ,

"Hei Leo, watch your steps"

"Am sorry Liz am in a hurry and didn't see you there

" Were are you hurrying to"?

"School, am behind schedule"

"Am heading in that direction, since you are in a hurry, how about you take my car and drive us there, I can manage to get to my location wen u drop off and I'll call my husband to come drive me home once am ready to leave"

Leo didn't wait to have any second thoughts, he took the keys from Liz and jumped into her car and they zoomed off.

He looked at Liz through the rear view and smiled,

"You're really An Angel Liz.. Thanks for the free ride"

He winked and Liz couldn't contain her laughter

"Let's just say you owe me, and I hav many ways to make you pay"

"How about I volunteer as the baby's nanny"?

The duo had a swell time together as they drove off.
