{Violet’s POV}
Elsa stayed with me at Spruce Spruce until my shift was over, and together, we made our way to McDonald’s.
A Chicken Sandwich was placed in front of Elsa and McNuggets in front of me. I hadn’t eaten much because I had been doing most of the talking since we arrived. But Elsa was munching down her fourth burger now.
I had told her the whole summer story of Liam and me, and she had totally abandoned her Fibre diet weight control routine.
“Wow!” She exclaimed with a mouthful. “I just can’t believe my ears. You know Liam Cornaro?”
“It’s just the Debt contract that’s binding us together, Elsa. Once I’m done paying, we’re good. I told you this already.” I said to her and finally took a bite of the yummy goodness in front of me.
