"I won't be back until 8am tomorrow ", liliana said to her boyfriend mark while picking up her bag from the sofa about to leave for her night shift at a bar. " Alright take care of yourself of yourself out there" mark said sparing her a look before turning back to the TV. Liliana arrived at the bar just in time take over from tessy Liliana was carrying a tray containing three glasses of wine to a particular table when a lady just came out of nowhere and bumped into her causing the wine to spill on the lady's dress. Before Liliana could open her mouth to apologize, the lady had already reached for the only glass of wine that was left on the tray liliana was carrying and emptied the content on Liliana causing her to gasp. She wiped her face with a tissue while apologizing to the lady but the lady wasn't having it as she was already requesting to see the manager" if I don't see your boss before leaving this bar you'll be more than sorry". The manager came out of his office to see what the commotion was all about "what's happening here" he asked looking between Liliana and the lady and then the realization dawned on him. He then started to plead with the lady as well on behalf of Liliana. "Ms i am so sorry I promise you it was a mistake that will never happen again". The manager tried to apologize and even offered her a compensation but what the lady wanted as compensation was far from just an apology. "Do you know how much my dress cost, the price of my dress can buy you and your bar and now it's been ruined by her. I want her fired or I sue you to court" said the lady. She was adamant to all their apologies and wanted nothing more than for liliana to get fired, so the manager had no choice than to fire Liliana. Liliana was getting ready to leave the bar when the manager approached her, "Lili am so sorry I had no Choice than to fire you, you know Ms Katherine is from a wealthy and influential family and I wouldn't want to get on her bad side." Liliana nodded in understanding. " is that her name?" she asked. "yes Katherine Wales". Said the manager. Liliana nodded and gave him a smile before exiting the bar Liliana got to her apartment and was greeted with a shocking unpleasant surprise. She entered her apartment living room and saw her boyfriend of two years hounding another girl on the sofa she bought with her hard earned money. They were so lost in the act that they didn't realized she was standing at the door way until she had to announce her presence by slamming the door with force. Mark quickly turned and saw her standing there with a tear filled eyes "mark... ". Liliana called, her voice heavy with the weight of the hurt she was feeling. She scrambled to her room while Mark was busy trying to put on his clothes. Liliana locked the door of the room she shared with her boyfriend for the past one year seven month. She was lost in thought when a knock on the door brought her back to reality. "Babe am sorry OK, it's not what you think, just open up and let me explain". Mark said from behind the door. Liliana opened the door and walked past Mark to the living room and out the door with Mark trailing behind her trying to convince her to forgive him but just as she was about to open the door she stopped, turned around and faced Mark, "leave my house before I return and don't leave anything of yours behind" she said before slamming the door in his face. After leaving her apartment, Liliana sat under a tree with a tear striken face, wallowing in all the pain and the hurtshe was feeling. As if loosing her job wasn't enough, she got betrayed by the only person she considered family and the only man she's ever loved. Liliana has been the one doing almost everything for him since he lost his job six months into their relationship, he even moved into her apartment and now this is how he repays her. She quickly got up and decided she was going to forget the pain and the hurt she was feeling even if it's just for a while.
