Chapter 5

She turned aside to see Sam standing in front of her , wearing a black Jacket , dark jeans with white vans. Jabeen barely recognized him. She was staring at him while Tyler gets up to hug him. Before she was going to say something to him , Sam says,

"So you're going to say hi or what?"

Jabeen stood up giving a smile,

"I missed you." She says.

She hugged him immediately. Sam is excited to spend some time with his little cousin but Tyler ruined their overwhelming moment saying,

"Don't hug him too much. You might miss him when you leave to your Foster Family."

Jabeen stopped hugging him, she looks at Sam with questions in her eyes and says,

" Wait What? Foster family? I thought I was going to stay in a hostel or something."

Sam gave Tyler the evil look (which is actually he's going to beat him up after he gets back home). Tyler says biting his lips,

"Man! I thought you told her . Sorry I think I need get the car ready."

He rushes to the parking lot. Jabeen holds Sam's hand tightly when he tries to leave. She says,

"Wait. I am not finished ."

Jabeen was in a surly mood. It started to get dark and the airport was getting crowded. Jabeen's not finished. She knows she needs to talk about this issue. It's now or never. She leaves Sam standing and sits in a corner . Sam sees her there sitting al alone . Suddenly he gets a call and he gets busy talking. Jabeen hears Sam saying, " Yes .Yes. We will be there by Monday." Even though he was talking over the phone his eyes were at Jabeen the whole time. After finishing the call he went to Jabeen . He says,

"Look I am sorry. I know you don't like surprises. Especially like this."

"If you knew then why did you do this?"

"Trust me they are nothing like the movies. They are way better."

Jabeen stops talking because she knows if she starts talking she won't stop arguing until she scratches the skin out of him . Seeing Jabeen looking at her painted long nails Sam says,

"Look as much I would love to stay here and get verbally abused by my little sister . I really need to leave. I am hungry as f**k ."

Jabeen slowly laughs,

" Okay Let's go . But only because mom made your favorite chocolate pudding."

"Good . Now let's go."

Getting out together they see Tyler in the parking area waiting for them. They went into the car and leaves the airport. While in the car Sam asked Tyler,

"So, I saw you two talking in the airport. You guys hangout a lot now, nah?"

" Not really. But we do see each other on weekends, right J?" Tyler replies staring back at Jabben in the back seat.

Jabeen is looking at her phone and trying to avoid the situation. But then Sam says ,

"Hey you listening?"

Jabeen says still staring at her phone,

" Yes. I am just kinda busy right now."

" Why? Whatchu doing back there?"

Sam sees Jabeen smiling and tapping her phone through the front mirror. Sam gets tensed , he looks back saying,

" Who are you texting?"

He then asks Tyler , "Who's she dating now?"

" Umm.. well.."

Jabeen interrupts saying,

" Sam, that's none of your business and Ty watch the road . Okay?"

" Of Course it's my business .

Looking at Tyler again Sam says,

"I told you to guard her bro."

Jabeen shouts,

"Excuse me?"

All of a sudden Tyler stops the car . he shouted back,

"Can you two please keep quiet?"

Sam says loudly,

"No one told you to stop the car."

Tyler got out other car saying,

"We are home you idiots, the road was clear."

Sam gets out of the car. He sees Jabeen parents standing in front of the door across the yard waiting for them . He leaves for the door saying,

"Get my suitcases."

Jabeen gets out and sees Sam embracing her parents. She murmurs,

"Well, they seem really happy seeing him."

Taking out the bags Tyler says to Jabeen ,

"Stop being so rude. He's back after 10 f*****g years. They are supposed to love him."

" Well it wasn't my fault his parent got divorced."

" What the hell Jabeen?"

"I am kidding, okay?" Jabeen giggles . It's not the first time she talked like this.

"Not nice."

Jabeen came towards Tyler to tell him the one question that was running in the mind since the whole morning. Tyler knows what she was trying to say. He read her mind seeing the coldness on her face. Looking at Jabeen's innocent face he says,

"Don't worry. I won't tell him about the new year's and all that drama ."

"How did you know I was going to say that?"

"Seeing your brows meeting together."

"No I don't do that. " Jabben says touching her forehead with a pouty face.

" Yes, Yes you do ."

" Whatever. Thank you for not telling him."

She planted a kiss on his cheeks and ran towards the door.

At the diner, when everybody is busy chatting with Sam and Tyler, Jabeen was in the kitchen making Tea. Though her eyes were at the cups her mind was still on the new year's eve party and the one night she kissed her childhood crush.

Reminiscing that day is both scary and loveable for her. It was New Year's night. She was standing beside a tree full of lights and watching her one true love dancing with women surrounding him . An hour later she saw Tyler coming towards her through the crowd. He had two beers in his hand. He was all sweaty and drunk which turned Jabeen on . He stood beside her and for the very first time he said to her,

"You look beautiful."

A brush of blush brushes off her cheeks. Jabeen realized that day wearing tight Jeans and red Jacket, with bare lips could be beautiful. Jabeen looked at Tyler and at the moment, he was all in feels. Suddenly Jabeen's favorite song came in . Tyler said ,

"I love this song."

He was busting some of his dance moves . Seeing him Jabeen also wanted to mix with the crowd, she took the beer beside her and started pouring it down her throat. There were lust in her eyes . All of a sudden, Tyler grabbed Jabeen's hand pulling her into the crowd saying,

"Let's dance," he whispers in her ears.

Jabeen whispers back, " I am not much of a dancer you know."

It was loud , Tyler said,

"Sorry what? I can't hear you."

Jabeen leaned towards Tyler breathing on his neck saying ,

"I don't know how to dance."

Tyler pulled Jabeen close to him and said,

" Don't lie. I saw you dancing lot of times."

" What ? Where?" She was confused.

" I saw you dancing in your pjs from Sam's room"

"But that's not dancing."

" Oh really?"

" Yes"

" You know what ? Just sing with me"

They were dancing and saying the lyrics together. It was a truly memorable night for Jabeen and for the first time she really enjoyed New Year's this much. They danced and danced . Just two minutes before the New Year's counting the music stopped . She was so lost in singing that she didn't realize when Tyler was gone. She started looking for him and after a minute , she found him beside the pool standing all alone. She went to him saying,

"Are you okay?"

Tyler looked at Jabeen in a way he never did before. Looking at her eyes he pulled her closer to him . His hands were on her waist. Jabeen knew that it was the moment. The moment she had always been waiting for. She looked at his almond shaped green eyes and went for the kiss. She was so greedy that she forgot that he was someone's else and she can never have him. When she realized it , after the long make out she finally stopped . She pushed him away. Tyler said,

"What happened? Why did you stop?"

Jabeen placed her hand on Tyler's arm and said,

"You are not okay."

Tyler removed Jabeen's hand from him and said, " Oh Shut up."

It came of a shock to her . Seeing him like that . With that he left the place leaving Jabeen there all alone . Jabeen was confused about what just happened. Her heart was happy because her lips finally had the taste of Tyler for the first time but deep down she knew it was wrong. She thought it was just for a day. She thought nobody knows and she's going to forget this soon . But little did she knew somebody was capturing the whole kiss moment they just had .

Jabeen's reminising about the party stopped when she hears Sam calling her,

"Jabeen , what are you doing there alone?"

He came to the kitchen and says,

" You look a little off today. Is everything okay?"

"Yes. Totally. I am just making Tea."

" So you finally learned that huh?"

" Yeah So ? You are saying it like , you know how to cook and make stuffs."

" I do actually," Sam replies confidently.

" Oh really?"

" Yeah. I learned making lots of things staying in the U.S."

" Well, Good for you"

" So how's school going?"

"One word: Boring."

"Don't say that. You are going to leave soon at least now say some good things about your dear school."

" I would never call it 'dear'."

" Anyways, I have been hearing some things about you lately."

Jabeen being not so surprised and pouring the tea in the cups with her trembling hands she says,

" Like what?"

" That you kissed my best friend behind my back."

Jabeen gets shocked hearing Sam . All the voices in her head is whispering that should she tell Sam the truth and let him not take to abroad or should she lie to Sam to save her and Tyler's ass?
